Aaron Phypers took the stand during a court hearing on ex Denise Richards' temporary restraining order against him.
In the courtroom on Oct. 8, Phypers denied all Richards' physical abuse claims, claiming, "I never physically harmed Denise Richards... I never threatened to harm her... I did not threaten to kill anybody."
Claiming the previous testimony that was in Richards' favor was all "made up," Phypers added: "A lot of people like to be close to the stars. They'll do things for them."
At another point during his testimony, Phypers, 53, claimed he never grabbed Richards' hair, choked her and banged her head. He responded, "No, I did not" when asked about all the allegations she made.
Speaking about July 4, the day he listed as their date of separation in his divorce filing, he claimed that he "never called her that" when asked if he referred to her as "a c--- whore and a piece of s---." He denied becoming enraged, grabbing her arm or screaming profanities when she said his family had to move out of the house on that day.
"I've never called her a bitch... I've called her a liar, yes. But not a bitch, no," he later added when asked if he had called Richards a "lying bitch."
When asked if made a threat that she would "disappear," he responded, "I have never said that to her, ever."
Speaking about her claims that he caused her multiple concussions, Phypers said he never did that, nor did he use equipment from his wellness center to check her for a concussion as she claimed during her own testimony.
While on the stand, Phypers, who married Richards in 2018, also claimed his ex called him 17 times in less than a week after she was granted a temporary restraining order against him. However, he alleged that he did not answer any of Richards' calls after the order was granted.
"She has many phone numbers... some of them she had before and are inactive or she reactivated," he acknowledged in the courtroom.
Phypers' testimony comes one day after Richards opened up about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of Phypers during the court hearing.
The actress claimed that her estranged husband "caused me at least three concussions" which she learned because Phypers allegedly used equipment at his wellness center on her various times after she complained about headaches, "not feeling good," and "feeling nauseous."
In one instance, she allegedly got a black eye on Jan. 17, 2022. The other, she said, happened when Phypers allegedly "slammed me up against the concrete wall and my head hit it" while in the carport at Phypers' wellness center somewhere between March and May 2022.
The third concussion -- which Richards claimed was also detected on the equipment at Phypers' facility -- allegedly occurred after an incident at a Chicago hotel in April 2025, during which she claimed he "was squeezing my head so hard" and he "picked my head up." She testified that it "felt like he was crushing my skull."
Richards also alleged on the stand that her ex "would often threaten to throw me through the windows and off balconies" of hotels. She tearfully stated: "He's almost killed me so many damn times."
Speaking about the day they split on July 4, Richards said she asked Phypers to leave their shared townhouses. This allegedly led to him getting "very angry at me and volatile," and she claimed things often got physical as a result.
"He got very close to me. I had just recovered from a full facelift and I still had stitches behind my ears, and I felt extremely vulnerable," she testified. "He would get as close as a couple of inches from my face. He would grab my arms and he would yell, call me names [such as] cheating whore and a c--- and a lying bitch."
"It just made me feel vulnerable, it made me feel scared, it made me feel sad. It made me feel intimidated by him. He's very big," she said. "I'm a lot smaller than him."
She also spoke about another alleged incident in September when Phypers returned to take his laptop. She accused him of asking for her phone, which she hid in her shorts. He "grabbed me by both arms and then pushed me down on the stairs," she alleged before claiming Phypers left with her laptop, along with her purse and credit cards.
Richards was granted the temporary restraining order on July 16, 11 days after Phypers filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences."
In the court filing obtained by PEOPLE, Richards alleged that Phypers would "frequently violently choke me," "violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me."
She also alleged in the filing that he "regularly threatened to 'break my jaw' and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help -- none of which ever happened."
Phypers has repeatedly denied all accusations against him. He refuted Richards' claims in a Sept. 15 filing, as he alleged that she "attacked" and "harassed" him "many times" and provided screenshots of his call history which showed dozens of missed calls from her after the temporary restraining order had been approved.
"I have not abused her and will not abuse her," he reiterated in the filing, as he said Richards has been "frequently" calling and messaging him and his father. "As well as asking other family and friends to ask me to call her so often that it should be considered harassment, demonstrating that she is not afraid of me and that she is the aggressive one."
