Absolutely, imagining yourself on the set of your favorite pirate movie is exciting! But if that's not possible, the fun continues at The Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Magic Kingdom, which is always a hit. And there's even more to look forward to with the newest addition, The Beak and Barrel Tavern, conveniently right next to it. We're thrilled to announce that this fantastic new bar opens this Friday! Buccaneers of all ages are invited to join in and enjoy a truly adventurous, fun-filled time.

Founded by Captain Merry Goldwyn and managed by her lively parrot quartermaster, Rummy, The Beak and Barrel offers a unique adventure that plucks guests straight into the exciting universe of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies and attractions. Disney highlights that it welcomes families to enjoy refreshing tropical drinks, tasty snacks, sing-alongs, storytelling, and delightful surprises. It's a truly special experience designed to captivate everyone's imagination.

The tavern is the result of excellent teamwork, bringing together dozens of talented individuals from Disney's Imagineering team over the course of a year, including senior creative director Chris Weck and executive producer Ken Ricci. They shared that their main goal was to create an authentic pirate experience that truly delights guests.

Fans of the franchise and ride will surely appreciate the careful detail put into the space, and they'll likely spot familiar props and artwork everywhere. For instance, there's a pirate's foot hanging from a hammock in the rafters, along with skulls and pirate flags decorating the walls. Disney enthusiasts with a sharp eye might also notice that Rummy closely resembles the original Barker Bird, the charming character that once welcomed visitors at the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean before it was retired some time ago.

While the decor is truly full of magic and wonder, the menu matches that charm with a delightful selection of rum-based cocktails, mocktails, and tasty small bites.

"We drew inspiration from the film and the rides, the Seven Seas, pirate journeys, and adventures, blending those elements with international flavors," said James Kleinschmidt, Chef at The Beak And Barrel.

He is particularly excited about the Kraken Catch. This octopus ceviche salad, he describes as a light, refreshing dish that pushes slightly beyond traditional boundaries, mirroring the changing tastes of regular guests at WDW over the years. Some of the other menu items to look forward to are:

Drawing inspiration from Central America and the Caribbean, The Island Provisions is a dip lover's paradise, and it's insanely delicious! Savor options like Plantain Chips, Blue Corn Tortillas, and Toasted Flatbread, paired with delightful dips such as Mango Chutney, Garlic Chimichurri, Spiced Guava, and Zesty Culantro Cream. If you're lucky, one of the friendly cast members might come by and serenade you with a catchy song to make remembering your delicious platter even more fun!

It's as delicious as it sounds! Enjoy Warm Corn Cakes filled with melted cheese, complemented by Lime Sour Cream, spicy Chili Peppers, and Cotija cheese, topped with flavorful chipotle braised chicken or poblano peppers. A true treat!

Certainly, a pirate and Caribbean-themed tavern would be incomplete without rum! While there are only six rum options, such as Diplomático Ambassador Selection, Foursquare Rum Distillery Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXVIII, and Flor de Caña 25-year Rum, the menu features a variety of rum-based and non-rum-based drinks.

For kids and non-drinkers, there are two non-alcoholic drinks: The Cursed Treasure, described as an indulgent blend of Coconut Milk and Cookie Crumbs, topped with Vanilla Foam and Pirate's Gold. And, The Treasure Trove, described as a mysterious Ube, Lemon, and Coconut Concoction served with a Vanilla Cake Plank, Chocolate Cannonball, and Golden Caramel Popcorn. Both of which were pretty tasty and indulgent drinks!

Although the grand opening is tomorrow, all reservation slots are already booked! Keep trying, though, as plans can change unexpectedly. Just a quick note: guests have a 45-minute time limit, and each guest (age 21 and over, with a valid ID) can enjoy up to two alcoholic drinks.

Menu items range from $15 to $55 each, with more exquisite rums on the higher end of the price range. Disney dining plans are not accepted at this time.
