Alison Hammond will reveal the car crash Strictly Come Dancing routine that made her break wind in front of her dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec as she appears on The Jonathan Ross Show tomorrow night.

The This Morning host will join Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Sarah Michelle Gellar, comedian Richard Ayoade and Ready or Not 2's Kathryn Newton on the ITV sofa on Saturday (March 21).

Alison, 51, won't hold back when talk turns to her time on Strictly, that saw her dance alongside professional, Aljaž, 36, during the competition in 2014.

The TV presenter will leave show host Jonathan, 65, in shock as she readily admits that she broke wind while lifting Aljaž off the floor.

Alison revealed of the dance, which was performed to Robin Williams' Friend Like Me in the seventh week of the competition: 'Oh, it was awful.

'At the time he couldn't lift me so we thought don't worry I'll lift you, I can do it.

'There is a moment where he does a cartwheel and I had to kind of pick him up and then help him over. He goes into this cartwheel and I pick him up and I break wind.

'I look at him and I go, "Let's never talk about this again". I didn't realise that he's quite a heavy guy - it literally took the wind out of me.'

Elsewhere, Alison revealed she had to rule herself out of taking part in the Celebrity Traitors because it clashed with filming for Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off.

Alison, who co-hosts the baking show alongside Noel Fielding, continued: 'I can't do it because I'm doing Bake Off... so that's a definite no. I'm so sorry.

'I would love to do that. I wouldn't want to be a Traitor though, I'd want to be a Faithful. I don't want no stress.'

She also addressed waving goodbye to her Bake Off co-star Prue Leith, who earlier this year revealed she was stepping down from the competition.

Prue, 86, is set to be replaced by Nigella Lawson, who will judge the bakers alongside long-standing show judge Paul Hollywood.

Alison reflected: 'It's kind of bittersweet. We love Prue. She's incredible - she's given nine years of her time, but we also want her to go and enjoy life as well.

'She's got a wonderful husband and they want to do more things. When you're doing Bake Off, your summer's gone, literally.'

Jonathan Ross will be joined by Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kathryn Newton, Alison, Ruth and Richard Ayoade on the show on Saturday.

'It's very bitter that she's going,' Alison continued, 'but we're very excited that we've got Nigella Lawson. I can't wait - I'm actually meeting her next week.'

'We're going to have a coffee and a little chat. She's really excited.'

Elsewhere on the Jonathan Ross show, Gavin and Stacey's Ruth, 59, ruled herself out of ever taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.

She reacted: ‘I’ve been and watched Strictly and it is amazing what people do. But it is absolutely not for me. They would have to pay me an absolutely ridiculous amount of money - there isn’t a figure.’

And the Nessa Jenkins actress ruled herself out of the Traitors too, adding: ‘There was a big rumour about me doing it as well.

‘The thing is I had sort of been asked about doing it and I love the show and I think it’s amazing but then I thought I’ll have to put on a wet suit and I’ll have to go in one of them lochs, I’ll get bitten by the midges.

‘I’d rather sit in my pyjamas and watch everyone else.’

It comes after Alison left viewers of This Morning wanting to 'switch off' as she and co-star Dermot O'Leary performed a dance routine live on air for viewers.

Dermot, 52, and Alison play music requests submitted by viewers at home following the ad breaks during their regular Friday slot on the show.

Back in February, they were seen hitting play on Shirley Bassey’s 1967 rendition of Hey Big Spender! ringing out in the studio as the show returned.

Instead of moving swiftly on, Alison and Dermot began singing the lyrics to one another, in between announcing upcoming segments on the show.

Soon, the duo were getting carried away, singing over one another during their announcements, as well as dancing and lip-synching to the tune.

For two minutes, the stars continued to dance, with Alison joking of Dermot encouraging her to keep going: ‘If you can’t beat them, join them.’

Taking things one step further, Dermot was then seen lifting Alison high up in the air - spinning her around in the studio as the song came to its end.

The duo were met with claps and cheers from the crew in the studio as they bowed for the cameras and laughed at one another.

However, fans at home didn't see the funny side, and were soon taking to X, formerly Twitter, to hit back at the 'dreadful' scenes, saying they 'switched off'.

One penned: 'WTF are these pair doing?? Shameful,' as another chimed in: 'Just switched off #ThisMorning. That's enough of that!'

'Dear god,' someone else reacted, as a fourth wrote: 'Just switched on to see these two 'dancing' and shouting. Children's TV at its worst. Dreadful and verging on insulting. I'm off.'

'Enough,' someone else simply penned, alongside an image of them turning off their TV in their home following the scenes.

Others disagreed and hit back that they found the moment amusing.

Someone else wrote: 'Yes Dermot & Alison! Big Spenders! Love it!' as a second penned: 'Really enjoyed that, hope Dermot hasn't done his back in!'

Elsewhere, Alison left her This Morning co-star Ben Shephard speechless and stifling his laughs as she cracked a VERY rude joke live on the show.

The TV presenters were seen sipping on popular drink 'bubble tea' before an ad break as they were joined by Nick Ferrari and Nicola Thorp to discuss the latest headlines from around the world.

Re-appearing after the ad break, Alison, 51, was seen joking with Ben about whether or not he liked the sweet beverage first popularised in Taiwan in the 1980s.

Ben, 51, tried to explain he wasn't a fan of the tapioca pearls that are commonly found in the drink, explaining: ‘I quite like the [explosive] stuff in my mouth.’

Alison then responded: ‘Oh, I love the feelings of balls exploding in the mouth.’

Shocked, Ben went completely silent, looking at Alison and around the room before she awkwardly continued by announcing what was coming next on the show.

‘Coming up over the next few hours,’ Alison began, before Ben could be heard letting out a laugh quickly covering it up by introducing the rest of the programme.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs tomorrow (March 21) at 10pm on ITV1 and ITVX
