Of all Prince Harry's projects of recent years, none has been more compelling than the Netflix series Heart Of Invictus, which captured those maimed and psychologically scarred by warfare as they put themselves through gruelling challenges training for the 2022 Games in The Hague.
So it's intriguing to see a changing of the guard at the Invictus Games Foundation, the charitable body which oversees the event and channels funding to disabled ex-service personnel so as to 'change lives and save lives'.
I can disclose that the foundation's newest trustee is Nana Fifield, a key figure in the world of online entertainment. The 54-year-old is director of technology at Amazon Prime Video.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's £75 million, five-year deal with rival American streaming giant Netflix ended last year. They then signed a 'first-look' deal with Netflix, which gave the company a first option on proposals from their Archewell production company but did not guarantee any payments.
Ms Fifield has a degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Southampton University and another, in digital systems engineering, from Brunel University of London.
She follows in the bootsteps of former Household Cavalry officer Ed Lane Fox, who was previously Private Secretary to Prince Harry and, briefly, to both Harry and Meghan. 'Elf', as Harry referred to Lane Fox in his memoir Spare, stepped down last year after a decade as an Invictus trustee.
Nana Fifield, 54, is director of technology at Amazon Prime Video and is joining Prince Harry's Invictus Games Foundation as a trustee.
Lily and chums dare to bare at the Dorchester
With Valentine's Day almost upon us, Lily James appears to be dropping a not-so-subtle hint to her boyfriend, stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, about what she'd like to receive as a gift.
The Mamma Mia 2 star posed in a £325 black satin and lace negligee dress to promote her aristocratic friend Lady Lola Bute's womenswear brand, DeBute. Lily, 36, met Bobby, 41, last year on the set of forthcoming thriller Subversion.
She was joined at The Dorchester hotel in Mayfair by pals (inset above, from left) actress Gala Gordon, 34; Lady Lola, 26, the daughter of the late 7th Marquess of Bute; and Lady Lola's half-sister Jazzy De Lisser, 34, the co-founder of DeBute.
Gangster Duncan - or is it more Del Boy?
As he turns 77, Duncan Bannatyne has gone full Gangsta Grandpa.
The former Dragons' Den star celebrated his birthday with a gangster-themed party in Miami.
He wore a fur coat, open-necked shirt showing off gold chains, plus a pair of oversized retro sunglasses that perhaps made him look rather more Del Boy Trotter than Al Pacino's Scarface. The Scottish sports club entrepreneur was joined by his third wife Nigora (far left), 32 years his junior, and Israeli singer Riki Ben-Ari who performed Tina Turner's The Best at the Florida bash.
'Happy birthday to my gangster,' Nigora warbled online. Bannatyne tells me: 'I had a wonderful celebration with my friends and family.'
Sandringham seeks a new royal chef...
As Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor settles in at his new home in Sandringham, King Charles's Norfolk estate is advertising for a new cook.
'We are seeking a skilled and passionate chef to join our culinary team,' says the advert.
'There will be a requirement to assist the Head Chef in menu engineering and concept development... therefore will need to have a knowledge of, and interest in, many different styles of food and service.' No doubt, that will include pizzas.
Andrew, you might recall, claimed he couldn't have danced at London night spot Tramp with his accuser Virginia Giuffre because he was at Pizza Express in Woking.
The House of Lords is being treated to rather more of the spotlight than it generally enjoys - and not solely because of Peter Mandelson's decision to forsake his place there. 'Baroness Limb's Writ of Summons was received by the House of Lords today,' the Lords' press office tells me, referring to Dame Ann Limb, the Labour donor nominated for a peerage and who, it emerged shortly before Christmas, has falsely claimed to have earned a PhD.
'So one life peer is leaving the Lords for lying at the same time as the Prime Minister appoints another life peer who's been lying on her CV for years,' muses an observer of the Lords' red leather benches.
Although Starmer has wailed about the lies he says Mandy told him, he has, so far, remained silent about Dame Ann's. Two-tier Keir, indeed.
Channel 4 News star Krishnan Guru-Murthy is desperate to strut his stuff again. The presenter, 55, who competed on Strictly in 2023, says: ‘I keep thinking that maybe I should go on holiday to South America and do some intensive salsa and tango classes.
‘Dancing on Strictly is such an intense and high-end experience that going to a weekly class just doesn’t seem that appealing.’
Might King Charles contrive a winter trip to - or at least a stop-over in - Jodhpur, in north-west India? Such is his affection for the city that he's managed to visit it three times so far, as his chum Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Marwar-Jodhpur tells the March edition of Tatler. 'He said, 'I'm not really allowed to come to the same place again so often',' reflects the Maharaja, 78, who'd surely be an excellent sounding board for the King in these troubling times for the House of Windsor. Monarchy, he muses, is a good thing - though 'it all depends on how you behave'.
