Gillian Anderson has shared an insight into her glamorous trip to Paris after spending a whirlwind 48 hours in the French capital this week.

The actress, 57, who was there on a trip with L'Oreal, looked incredible in a series of stunning photos taken ahead of evenings out in chic black dresses.

One gown featured an extravagant gold floral design on the front, featuring a halterneck style and a flattering form-fitting shape.

Gillian wore her blonde hair in soft waves and her ensemble was complemented with a face of soft make-up, including a pale pink lipgloss.

She also modelled another dress, which was one shoulder with keyhole detailing and a peplum cut, styled with a pair of strappy heels.

Elsewhere she shared a look at her 'field trip' to the L'Oreal Paris labs, where she learned about the pioneering science behind their products.
