CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns veteran DT Shelby Harris didn't mince words when asked about 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings -- or the low blow that's made headlines over the last six days.

Jennings, who was in the middle of a scuffle at the end of Monday night's game with Panthers safety Tre'Von Moehrig, found himself at the center of another jawing match on Sunday as the Browns fell to the 49ers 26-8.

As he left the locker room, Harris alleged that Jennings was talking about "peoples' wives and families" with about 9:36 remaining in the third quarter, while fellow veteran DT Maliek Collins was down with a quad injury.

"Like, I see why he got punched in the (groin), because that's -- like, he says some things that you should not say to another man, ever," Harris said. "But, I don't respect it because you say that, then run behind your O-line. That's some real soft s---. And I want that known.
"I see exactly why they punched your (groin). I'm surprised nobody punched him in the jaw yet."

Collins suffered a quad injury -- it was initially called a knee during the game -- that required him to be carted off.

As Collins was on the ground, several Browns and 49ers players including Jennings, 49ers tight end George Kittle, Harris and Browns star edge rusher Myles Garrett continued to heatedly talk. An official broke the group up as Collins was loaded onto the cart by medical personnel.

The other incident Harris was referring to stemmed from Moehrig hitting Jennings below the belt in the closing minutes of San Francisco's 20-9 win over the Panthers on Monday night. After the game, Jennings responded with a couple of open-handed punches at Moehrig on the field. Moehrig told reporters that Jennings was "talking crazy" throughout the night.

Moehrig was suspended for one game and sat out Carolina's 31-28 win over the Rams on Sunday. Jennings was fined $12,172 for the postgame altercation.

On Sunday, Garrett tried to separate everyone before the official arrived but also had some choice words for Jennings after the game.

"Well, I can't speak for how he was raised, but if you have nothing good to say, don't say something to somebody," Garrett said. "So he had a lot to say that was demeaning and disparaging towards some of our players and I was just trying to separate everybody. And I tried to go up and ask for what the problem was and then he start coming at me. And some guys just roll like that.
"I don't feel like that belongs in the game, but, hey, if that works for him and them, then more power to him. But I'm just trying to keep my guys focused on the game and not worried about no stuff outside of it, because we're focused on what's on the field."

If nothing else, Harris and Garrett left no doubt in Sunday's game about where they stand on Jennings' approach -- and why tensions keep following the 49ers receiver from game to game.
