In just a few months, BTS is set to return with new music for the first time in years. The seven members that make up the South Korean boy band have been focusing lately on their solo careers as well as their military service, which is mandatory for all men in the nation by a certain age. Now that all of the vocalists have finished their tours of duty, a brand new era has been promised, with an album and a tour slated for sometime in 2026.

Perhaps only weeks away from BTS reminding the world of its unique ability to craft a hit that millions immediately fall in love with, RM, the group's leader, returns to a pair of Billboard charts and almost snags another solo champion.

RM's "Nuts" Misses No. 1 by One Space on Several Charts

"Nuts," the simply-titled tune by RM, breaks back onto a pair of Billboard tallies in the United States. This time around, the track lands in the runner-up spot on both the Rap Digital Song Sales and the World Digital Song Sales charts. Those tallies are compiled weekly, looking solely at pure purchases, with one focusing on rap music alone, while the World Digital Song Sales list is a home for global acts that typically perform in a language other than English or Spanish.

"Nuts" Returns to Its All-Time High

"Nuts" returns to its all-time high on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, as the track debuted at No. 2 in June 2024. "Nuts" has now spent two frames on the list of the bestselling rap cuts across America, and in both instances, it has failed to run the show by just a single spot.

Which of RM's Solo Singles Hit No. 1 in America

RM almost collects his fourth solo winner on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart this week, as "Nuts" fails to rule by just one position. He has previously dominated with a trio of bestsellers: "Stop the Rain" with Tablo, "Neva Play" with Megan Thee Stallion, and "Still Life," which credits Anderson .Paak as a featured artist.

RM Has Peaked at No.2 With Several Songs

"Nuts" is one of two singles by RM to peak at No. 2 on the Rap Digital Song Sales list. "Yun," a collaboration with R&B and soul powerhouse Erykah Badu, opened in second place in December 2022. Throughout his solo career, RM has pushed a lucky 13 tracks to the tally, and all of them have spent time inside the top 10.

RM Blocked From the Top Spot by Pooh Shiesty

RM almost tops the Rap Digital Song Sales chart this week, and he would have added to his collection of No. 1s if not for an exciting new release in the genre. "FTO," the latest single by rising hip-hop talent Pooh Shiesty, debuts in first place and stands out as the bestselling rap cut in the nation. The BTS star does beat out "Mr. Right Now," a collaboration between 21 Savage and Drake, which kicks off its time at No. 3.

"Nuts" Added to RM's List of No.1 Smashes

While "Nuts" has never conquered the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, it has led the World Digital Song Sales tally, a roster where South Korean artists are some of the most successful of all time. "Nuts" is counted among RM's five leaders. He has also ruled with "Winter Flower" alongside Younha, "Don't" with Eaeon, "Wild Flower" with Youjeen, and "Sexy Nukim," a collaborative affair that also credits Balming Tiger, Omega Sapien, BJ WNJN, and Mudd the Student.

RM is much more successful on the World Digital Song Sales ranking when compared to its rap counterpart. In addition to scoring a greater number of champions, RM has racked up 25 total appearances on the tally, 22 of which have spent at least one frame inside the top 10.

Right Place, Wrong Person Spun of Several Singles

While "Nuts" was never shared as a single, the tune did become a standout from RM's second solo full-length, Right Place, Wrong Person. The project dropped in May 2024 and was promoted with singles like "Come Back to Me" and "Lost!" Several other tracks from the same studio effort also became bestsellers, especially on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, where RM has emerged as one of the most successful South Korean musicians of all time.
