It has become the biggest 'will they, won't they' in showbusiness as Scary Spice and Ginger Spice struggle to be in the same room.

But as the iconic girl group celebrates 30 years since the release of their debut album, it has emerged that the Spice Girls might be reuniting after all.

The truce would see Melanie Brown and Geri Halliwell-Horner follow in the footsteps of Noel and Liam Gallagher - who put their long-standing differences aside for their money-spinning Oasis tour.

One source has revealed that talks are taking place to nail down live concerts, with some involved hoping they might even secure Wembley Stadium.

There has also been talk of a hologram concert similar to that of the popular Abba Voyage.

The pop group has even brought in a publicist who is actively working with them.

'There has been so much hope only for it to be dashed,' an insider told The Mail on Sunday.
'The whole idea of the Spice Girls coming together is a nightmare because Mel B stays away from the others, and Geri has been furious at Mel for claiming they had a relationship.

Melanie Brown (Mel B) reportedly avoids the other members of the Spice Girls.

Geri Halliwell-Horner and Mel B are said to be unable to be in a room together, obstructing another possible Spice Girls reunion.

The Spice Girls minus Victoria Beckham performing at their reunion tour in London in 2019.

'They can't really be in the same room.'
'But if Noel and Liam can stand next to one another on stage then so can Mel B and Geri.'
'Emma and Mel C are cool and would love to reunite and sing to their fans again. They know what it would mean to their most loyal supporters.'

It was understood that Ms Halliwell-Horner's husband, Christian Horner, was against his wife joining any reunion following Ms Brown's claims the two singers had a fling in the 1990s.

He has now apparently come round to the idea, however.

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham would not be part of any live shows - she has refused to perform on stage ever again in fear of overshadowing the hard graft she has put into her fashion label.

But she is said to be 'very proud' of the Spice Girls and is always open to projects that don't involve her singing.

Earlier this month, a commemorative coin was released by the Royal Mint to mark the girl group's 30th anniversary of their debut single, Wannabe.

The band last reunited in 2019 and famously performed at the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics - the last time Mrs Beckham took to the stage with the group.
