A Celebrity Ex On The Beach star broke down in tears and threatened to quit the show after Helen Flanagan's idea to take part in a kissing dare took a humiliating turn.
The fourth series of the popular reality programme returned to our screens on Paramount+ on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
The star-studded cast includes MAFS UK star Amy Kenyon 28, Too Hot To Handle favourite Chase DeMoor 29, TOWIE's Dani Imbert 27, Love Is Blind: UK's Freddie Powell, former Corrie star Helen, Too Hot To Handle's Izzy Fairthorne, Jedward legend John Grimes and Love Island's Toby Aromolaran.
Over the next few weeks, the famous faces will be surprised with their former flames turning up at the villa... what could go wrong?
Well in the most recent episode of the programme, Freddie gets upset during a game of dares, which leads him on to say that he can't take part anymore.
In the awkward scenes, Helen dares Izzy to kiss either Freddie or ex Rogan O'Connor, but it proves too much for Freddie after showing an interest in her.
As Izzy gets up to make her decision, Freddie says: 'I'm not partaking. I'm not partaking. I'm not playing.'
He adds: 'I just don't think I'm cut out for this.'
The reality star gets up and walks off and John tells the camera: 'This isn't good. This isn't good at all.'
Fighting back the tears, Freddie says: 'I feel stupid. I know it’s a game, that is what I am here for. Like people play games and stuff... and I can’t do that.'
'It’s just too hard for me. So I’m done!'
Rogan says to the cast: 'I think in his mind she had the choice to say no...'
Izzy confesses: 'When he walked off it made me feel so bad!'
It comes after Jedward star John left Celebrity Ex On The Beach bosses 'furious' as he ruined the entire new series with a huge spoiler.
The TV personality is starring on the latest Paramount+ show, but fans now already know how John's storyline will end after he confirmed his relationship on Instagram last week.
John shared with his followers that he has rekindled his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Sarah Carragher after reuniting on the show in Tenerife.
In the trailer the couple are seen sharing a steamy kiss but their relationship was left on a cliffhanger.
But on Friday, John posted two sweet photos of himself and Sarah standing in front of Tower Bridge at the shows launch party.
Captioning the snap, John wrote: 'Here's to a new chapter and making memories with the best girl xxx.'
By going Instagram official with Sarah, the X Factor star has ruined the mystery of the series making his storyline 'pointless'.
A source told The Sun: 'John posting that he's back with his ex was terrible timing as it makes his whole storyline on the show pointless.
'Cast were asked to keep a bit of mystery around who got back with their ex and who hooked up with who so people tuned it, but clearly John was so thrilled he just went ahead and posted without thinking.'
They added: 'Bosses are fuming but it's not like he did it on purpose.'
Daily Mail have contacted Ex On The Beach and John's representatives for comment.
Ahead of the new dramatic series John opened up to the Daily Mail about his relationship with Sarah.
The singer admitted going on the reality dating show has helped himself and Sarah 'deal with love life regrets' as they are now in different places in life.
Speaking to the Daily Mail about coming face-to-face with Sarah on the show, he said: 'It was a really good feeling because we always got along even after we weren't together.'
'She has tried dating different people and so did I, but then at the same time you don't know all you had until they're gone.'
'I know it's a classic saying, but then you realise that she's come all the way out here [to Tenerife where the show is filmed] and she's taken time off work to be here, so that speaks volumes for me.'
John insisted going on the dating show has helped 'deal with his love life regrets' and he has now gone about the relationship differently.
'I'm sure a lot of my exes have regrets for not doing enough to keep me around, you know, I'm a keeper', he joked.
'I think going on this show dealt with those love life regrets though because it gave me the chance to be reunited with an ex and then go about it differently in the way that you possibly didn't before.
'So you put yourself in the right space to go, well, I'm in a different place in my life and maybe I didn't make the moves that I needed to or put a label on it back then. So now here I am, going back differently.'
Away from Ex On The Beach John lifted the lid on his very surprising love life since finding fame on the X Factor 2009.
John and his identical twin Edward shot to fame on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009 after being mentored by Louis Walsh and finishing in sixth place.
Since being in the public eye, the brothers have kept their private life out of the spotlight, but John has now opened up about his dating history.
'My favourite date was going to a Beyonce concert in Amsterdam', he explained.
'It was very last minute and I was like, well none of your besties are taking you so you know what I’m going to bring you.'
'It was very last minute and we enjoyed Beyonce and flew in the plane there; it was so much fun.'
The singer also revealed he loves to cheekily slide into DMs on social media but has been forced to 'unsend' a message after being ghosted.
Despite always being with his identical twin Edward, John said the pair have never really been on a double date as 'you can only go so far with your brother there', he teased.
'When it comes to dating and stuff we go that alone, but you know we have chats about it and see how it went.'
Celebrity Ex On The Beach will hit our screens March 31 on Paramount+ and it looks like it's not one to miss.
The star-studded cast include Corrie's Helen Flanagan, Love Island's Toby Aromolaran, MAFS UK star Amy Kenyon, Love Is Blind UK's Freddie Powell, Too Hot To Handle stars Chase DeMoor and Izzy Fairthorne, TOWIE's Dani Imbert and John.
This is not the first dating show that John has appeared in, as he also took part in Single AF in 2017.
