Celebrity Traitors fans were left distracted during Thursday night's funeral scenes as they hit out at one show star's 'inappropriate' outfit.

The famous faces were gathered by host Claudia Winkleman at the castle grounds graveyard for one solemn scene in the BBC competition - to reveal who had been 'murdered' first by the Traitors.

Claudia, 53, asked the celebrities, which includes the likes of Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, Stephen Fry and Celia Imrie, to wear their 'mourning attire' for the scene.

It saw the group leave Andross Castle in all-black outfits.

The celebrities stood in the pouring rain as part of a game that saw three of them placed in wooden coffins ahead of the big reveal of the first victim.

But viewers at home were left raising their eyebrows over one outfit choice, as former Olympic diver Tom Daley opted for an unbuttoned black shirt, showing off his chest.

Taking to X during the scene, one penned: 'Feels like Tom has an inappropriate number of buttons undone for a funeral.'

A second chimed in: 'Tom, you've missed a few buttons on the shirt,' as a third added: 'Why has Tom Daley got so many shirt buttons undone? Put it away, man!'

'Tom's shirt nearly completely undone at a funeral, you tart,' a fourth agreed, while a fifth said: 'OK, open shirt, Tom, I see you, I see how it is.'

It comes after fans of The Traitors were left in uproar as Alan Carr murdered his best friend Paloma Faith in the first killing of the series.

Comedian Alan and his fellow Traitors, chat show host Jonathan, 64, and singer Cat Burns, were tasked to 'murder' in plain sight by using the pollen of a poison lily and touching someone's face.

After finding the perfect moment in the kitchen, he told Paloma 'You've got a hair on your face' before subtly touching her face to adjust her hair.

Trying to keep suspicious eyes away from him, when asked by Claudia how he feels about Paloma 'dying', Alan said: 'Well I think we're all going to miss her really'.

Alan told the cameras away from the group: 'We really did have a bond. I think Paloma's murder has thrown everyone off myself. I'm getting 'are you alright, I know Paloma was close to you'.'

Paloma, 44, had her fate sealed when the lid on her coffin was slammed shut during a dramatic mission and she was carried away, effectively ending her time in the competition.

While the scenes made for gripping television, sources behind-the-scenes claimed the star wasn't quite as composed off-camera.

A source told The Mirror: 'She threw a wobbly afterwards about being the first to go.
'Some players just shrug it off when they leave, but Paloma was fuming when she discovered who had betrayed her. She couldn't work out what had actually happened, and when she found out the details, it only made her feel worse.
'Paloma is loud and wears her heart on her sleeve - it's fair to say that she wasn't happy with going home first.'

After being murdered, Paloma called the experience 'up and down', admitting it was nerve-wracking knowing her larger-than-life personality made her an easy target.

She said: 'I knew that I couldn't fade into the background. I'm the sort of person that lets my feelings about people be known by talking a lot, so it was never an option for me to be able to quietly just simmer under the surface.'

She further quipped: 'I don't think my technique was great in this game, but it works very well in real life.'

When asked who she would like to see triumph in the game, Paloma said she'd like to see someone 'kind and strategic' to win - like Nick Mohammed.

Less generously, when finding out those responsible for her demise, she seethed: 'I'm happy to lose them as friends.'

Reacting to her death and hitting out at pal Alan, Paloma told Traitors podcast Uncloaked: 'I don't think it was very nice, I still maintain to this day that if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn't have done that.
'I don't think he should have done it to me and I'm surprised that he did.'
