Country singer Kelsea Ballerini asked fans at her concert to stop the hateful comments about her ex-husband, Morgan Evans.
Chase Stokes is stoking fan's curiosity with his latest posts.
The "Outer Banks" actor, 33, hinted at being blocked by Kelsea Ballerini in a series of Instagram story posts on Thursday.
"Don't believe the media," he wrote on his Instagram story Nov. 20. "I'm blocked, I did nothing wrong." He added, "Sorry. I tried," with a red heart emoji.
On another slide, Stokes then wrote, "I'm sorry for those who believed in us. It is what it is."
Stokes concluded his cryptic posts with a final message, "Onwards and upwards."
USA TODAY has reached out to Stokes' and Ballerini's reps for comment.
Stokes has been dating the 32-year-old singer since January 2022, after she sent a social media message to Stokes during a girls' night outing. They then made their red carpet debut at the CMT Music Awards in April 2023.
Ballerini joked in 2023 that the pair "can't break up" because they share matching tattoos. During a 2023 appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the "Blindsided" singer said their astrology-inspired ink speaks to the couple's unique bond.
"We have matching tattoos, so we can't break up," Ballerini joked to host Alex Cooper. "We have little Virgos."
She continued: "I used to really resent my Virgo-ness because to me it was very control freak, just needing power in a lot of situations in relationships. And he's a Virgo too, and he and I have really allowed ourselves to love that part of ourselves and each other: just the need to communicate well and be loyal."
Stokes was previously romantically linked to his "Outer Banks" costar Madelyn Cline. Ballerini was married to Australian country performer Morgan Evans, and the two divorced in August 2022 after nearly five years of marriage.
At a February concert, Ballerini momentarily paused her show in Hollywood, Florida, when fans began to shout obscenities about Evans. Ballerini, who was in the middle of singing the bridge of "Penthouse," the third track off "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good), called her fans out.
"Guys, we have to stop saying that, seriously," Ballerini said. "We're three years past it. Everything's fine now; I sing this song for you now. It's not about me anymore."
Before Ballerini began to sing again, she asked fans to sing along: "All right. For everyone that's moving forward with their lives, will you sing this with me?"
