Catherine Santino is a Style Writer-Reporter at PEOPLE. She began as a contributor for PEOPLE in 2022 and joined the staff full-time in 2024. Her work has previously appeared in The Zoe Report, Popsugar, Insider and more.

For Chloe Fineman, shopping is not just a hobby -- it's lifestyle.

"You don't have a car, so your purse is your car," the Saturday Night Live star tells PEOPLE about living in New York City. "Your shoes are also your car. Shopping is a form of survival in New York. And I definitely have a problem, but it's also fun. Every day, I'm like, 'Oh, my God, where did you get that?'"

If you're lucky enough to bump into Fineman on the streets of N.Y.C., you may very well catch her wearing her beloved boots from The Row. She'll probably tell you that the steep price tag is justified because you'll get so much wear out of them.

"I've had them for three years," she says of her trusty shoes. "They're negative money at this point."

Since the comedian and actress already treats shopping like a competitive sport, it just made sense to partner with Nordstrom for a game show-themed campaign in honor of the retailer's annual anniversary sale. With Fineman starring as the charismatic host, the campaign also features Dan Rosen, Taryn Delanie Smith and Yoonmi Sun.

This year's sale features more than 65 new brands, including exclusive deals on new arrivals across apparel, shoes, beauty, baby gear, accessories, activewear and more categories.

During the event, Fineman is reaching for a mixture of fashion and beauty staples. Her holy grail skincare products are on sale just for the occasion -- you can grab the U Beauty The Anniversary Trio -- a $224 value -- for $156.

"[U Beauty founder] Tina [Chen Craig]'s been a friend of mine for years, and now the world has caught on to her magic sauce," says the SNL star. "The super hydrator will revolutionize your skin."

She'll also be picking up the Valentino Spike Valentino Buttery Matte Refillable Lipstick Trio and restocking on her go-to setting spray, the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Spray Duo.

"Not to brag, but I've had a lot of glam this past year," Fineman quips. "Sometimes it really feels like hairspray is being sprayed upon your face. So, I love this. It’s light, it’s airy and it sets the makeup."

ROZ Foundation Shampoo and Conditioner have also topped Fineman's list.

"It's in my hair right now," she says. "It has a really refreshing beautiful scent. And it's not too heavy. It's also eco-friendly refillable female-owned. I mean what more can you want? It also looks beautiful in your shower."

When it comes to fashion, the Summer of '69 actress is snagging more of her favorite Mother Denim pieces, including the Hustler Roller Sneak Jeans.

Fineman also points out that summer is the perfect time to invest in a good pair of sunglasses, like her favorite Saint Laurent style.

"Saint Laurent makes fabulous, fabulous sunglasses," she says. "That wayfarer shape is classic."

Shoppers can also grab the Open Edit The Curator Relaxed Blazer that Fineman wears in the Nordstrom campaign. “They’re a new discovery of mine,” she says of the brand. “They’re just the perfect tailored clothing. The pants are fantastic. That blazer is to die for.”

Fineman might also be perusing some bag charms during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. The comedian tells PEOPLE that she thinks the recent accessories trend is “wonderful.”

“I love seeing it. I love joy,” she says. “I think we need joy in our lives right now. And as somebody who grew up in the Tamagotchi and Furby era, I think it’s wonderful.
“I did see some people had them at Jeff Bezos’ wedding, and I was like, ‘That’s a bold move,’” she quips.

As for the Labubu craze, Fineman isn't quite ready to dip her toes in yet. "Labubus are a little scary to me," she says. "But I found a new thing called Hacipupu, it's almost like a Precious Moments doll. They're so cute. And they're like these whimsical children in different animals."

"It's the Wes Anderson of the Labubu," she adds.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale runs from July 12 through Aug. 3. Early Access begins July 8.
