Chloe Sevigny's new Harper's Bazaar photoshoot has been pulled apart by fans who have slammed the 'terrible cover choice.'

Sevigny posed up a storm for the May 2026 issue in a pleated floral print dress by Chloé that retails for $6,390 that was paired with tights from Calzedonia.

The dress featured bow detailing at the bust and off-the-shoulder sleeves, with Sevigny opting for a sultry expression as she gazed directly at the camera.

Her other looks from the photoshoot included a long, pink silk dress from Louis Vuitton adorned in a small daisy print as well as a schoolgirl-esque navy blue v-neck top designed by Versace, all selected by stylist Robbie Spencer.

However, despite the high-fashion designers she was decked out in, many fans were less than impressed.

Debate first erupted on The Fashion Spot forum, as many users suggested that the cover image was the 'worst' from the shoot.

'Ugh, I see it's back to square one for Harper's Bazaar after such an ultra-fabulous Anne Hathaway cover shoot last month! What an unflattering cover image. The floral dress just has to have been the worst from Chemana Kamali's Chloé collection. I hate the angle of the shot, the pose... the whole lot!' one wrote.
'They are so rotten for choosing that photo for their cover when she had two better shots in the editorial,' another shared.
'Terrible cover choice in my opinion... some images with the white background would have been better,' someone else penned.

'Not wild about the photograph but delighted Chloe is on the cover!' one claimed, before another chimed in: 'I hate the cover but love Chloë.'

Similarly, over on Reddit thread r/whatthefrockk, other fashion fans were as eager to slam the shoot.

'She looks great. I cannot stand the clothing,' one Reddit user typed.
Another agreed: 'Awesome shoot but hate the cover photo.'
'I hate the cover that they chose,' another wrote in part before suggesting that other images were better.

During her new interview with Harper's, Sevigny admitted that she 'never felt pretty' her 'whole life.'

'I never felt pretty my whole life,' Sevigny confessed in her Harper's Bazaar cover story hitting newsstands May 5.

The Emmy nominee definitely feels 'pressure to maintain' her appeal in Hollywood, and she appeared to hint at getting the occasional face filler: 'I'm going to do all the little things. I just haven't done the major things'

'There were very pretty girls in my class, very conventionally pretty, especially within the 1980s standards of what that meant. I knew that I wasn't.'

'But I think also for women, if you were always touted as 'the most beautiful woman in the world,' it must be just really, really challenging,' Sevigny said. 'I don't have that. I've never felt that.'

The Golden Globe winner will next portray Tatum McKenzie opposite Jennifer Garner's food blogger in Minkie Spiro's eight-episode drama The Five-Star Weekend, which closes the 31st annual Nantucket Film Festival on June 22 before streaming on Peacock July 16.

The small-screen adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand's 2023 novel will also feature Regina Hall, Gemma Chan, Timothy Olyphant and Judy Greer.
