She's spent time in her tropical, beachside abode for the past 20-plus years.
The supermodel, 71, snapped a mirror selfie in a black bikini while soaking up the sun -- and joys! -- of her Turks & Caicos "Lucky House" home with a slideshow of photos shared to her Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 15.
Brinkley, who's spent time at her three-bedroom beachfront estate in Parrot Cay for over two decades, shared a glimpse inside the walls of her tropical abode and a sweet backstory into the decor on display in the swimsuit selfie.
"I shell attempt to distract you from the important news you sea on Insta then I'll clam up and you can scallop back to the more pressing issues of the day. PS I made this over the 20 + years we've been here in Turks&Caicos from things I find on the beach," she captioned the post.
She added, "🩵🐚💙 🕊️🦜✌️🌴🦩🌺🪸🌝✨🌈🌤️🌊🦑🐬 #seashell #shell #seashellart."
The first slide sees Brinkley smiling wide in a tiny black triangle bikini top and high-waisted micro shorts that match. She let her blonde hair, which she parted to the side, flow freely.
The mirror itself was lined with hundreds of different seashells and other items from the ocean that she found on the beach over the years. She stood in a naturally-lit room thanks to the sun shining through the curtains from outside.
The next three slides were close ups of Brinkley, who posed in the mirror holding a small bottle of glue that she presumably used to create the shell-encrusted mirror. The last slide was a video, featuring a pan of the frame.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit icon has been giving her followers a look inside her Turks & Caicos stay over the past few days on Instagram. She previously shared a video of her beach walk and beautiful views by the water, rainbows and all.
Last year, Brinkley celebrated her 70th birthday at her Turks & Caicos home on Feb. 2. She shared a carousel of photos from her celebratory trip on Instagram.
"We made it here just in time for a golden sunset at lucky house!" she captioned the post. "And swipe to see what the kids did to our living room so I don't forget I'm turning 70 on Friday! 😜isn't that S W E E T!!!!"
“I think 70 is very similar to 50, in that it’s a time when you look both back and forward,” she said at the time, adding that the “steady march” to 70 has carried a certain weight.
“The big 7-0 is another one of those [ages] that’s up there in giant block numbers that loom over,” she explained. “At 62, you start thinking, ‘Well, I’m almost 70.’ It cast a shadow all over that whole decade down.”
Still, she was focused on how to make the birthday “special.”
