It was Cedartown First Methodist Church who first spilled the beans with a Facebook post announcing the 40-year-old country crooner and the 39-year-old registered nurse had welcomed son Weyman Allen Hunt.
The unique name Weyman is reportedly of Anglo-Saxon origin and derived from the Old English moniker Wigmund, which means 'man of war' or 'warrior' or 'battle man.'
Sam gave his newborn infant - measuring 20.5in long and weighing 8lbs 6oz - the middle name Allen, which was most likely a loving tribute to his own father Allen Hunt.
Hunt and Fowler are thrilled to add a baby sibling for their 20-month-old son Lowry Lee and three-year-old daughter Lucy Louise.
'They're good,' the five-time Grammy nominee told Taste of Country on Monday.
'A little sleep deprived. Our most recent child got here in May, so he's finally starting to sleep a little better.'
Sam continued: 'We got spoiled with the first two -- they were fairly easy -- but Weyman, my third one, Weyman's his name, he likes to beat to his own drum, I guess you could say.'
