David Beckham has opened up about missing his family when he's away from them amid his feud with son Brooklyn.

The footballer, 50, and wife Victoria, 51, are currently locked in a feud with their eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his heiress wife Nicola Peltz, 30, amid claims he has become increasingly estranged from the family after failing to attend any of his father's 50th birthday celebrations in May.

On Tuesday, David attended the Bowers & Wilkins launch event for their Px8 S2 in London.

He was joined on stage by record producer James Blake, with whom he spoke about their collaboration on the product and what it means to them.

David mentioned that he has felt connected to the brand for many years, as he remembered being first pictured wearing the headphones while he was living in LA in the late 2000s.

On the subject of travelling, the former footballer opened up about being apart from his family, explaining that they 'mean a lot to him'.

He told Daily Mail and other media: 'I'm very close to my family, so, you know, over the years they've got used to me travelling.

'You know, the boys obviously have been around, you know, most of my career, so, you know.

'They’ve seen me travel a lot and so has Victoria and Harper later on, but now with obviously the travel that I do, you know, of course it’s really..., I miss my dogs as well.

'But they’re part of the family, so yeah that’s really all I miss.'

When asked where he spends most of his time travelling, he said it’s now between London and Miami.

He continued: 'You know, travel, I’ve been very lucky in my career and my life, life after my career and in business because I get to travel.

‘You know, when I was at Manchester United, my first trip was to South Africa when I was 17 years old.

‘And I travelled so much with football.

David's comments come as the Beckhams are said to no longer be on speaking terms with Brooklyn and his wife, American actress Nicola.

‘But then when I finished, I was able to travel in a different way to enjoy cities and countries in a different manner and enjoy cultures and, and for me that’s, that’s one of the best parts of what I do.

‘You know,to travel because I get to meet so many different people and jump into so many different cultures—that’s one of my favourite parts of what I do.’

The couple recently renewed their vows without inviting them.

Brooklyn and his family were last pictured together on Boxing Day last year. He does not appear to have spent any time with them since.

The 26-year-old continued to ignore family milestones earlier this month, failing to join in with an outpouring of tributes to his brother Romeo, who was celebrating his 23rd birthday.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Brooklyn was asked how he copes with all the talk about his family and his private life.

'There's always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife,' he said. 'Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we're happy.'

The 26-year-old said he 'never' worries about what people say or write about his personal life.

'Everyone is always going to say rubbish. I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It's good fun,' he said.

Elsewhere at the event on Tuesday, David explained how the headphones help him 'block out the noise' around him.

He said: 'The whole noise cancellation thing is for me, it's the dream.

'You know when I am travelling, when I'm on a plane, wherever I am, you know, to block out everything and to listen to music or to watch, you know, a show.

'It's incredible. '

He continued: 'Working with Bowers and Wilkins for me has always been special and I'm not just saying that because you're all here tonight, but it really is.

'You know when I decide to become a partner in a business, it's all about people.

'It's not about, you know, the company; it's about the people that I'm going into business with; and you know it feels like a family.'

Commenting on the launch, Giles Pocock, VP of Brand Marketing, said: 'We are incredibly proud to launch the Px8 S2, the best headphone we have ever created.

'When we introduced the Px8 in 2022, it redefined what was possible in wireless headphone performance.

'The Px8 S2 sets the benchmark once again, recalibrating expectations for sound quality, design, and craftsmanship.

'It's the ultimate expression of our mission: to bring listeners even closer to the artist's performance - and of course, the beautiful design and finish only adds to that real pride of ownership.'
