As Gucci launches its exciting new era under creative director Demna, it kicked off Milan Fashion Week in style with the premiere of an eye-catching new short film.

Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lila Moss were among the big names making their arrival in the Italian hotspot to celebrate the film's release on Tuesday.

The actress, 62, turned heads as she arrived in a timeless gown with gold and burnt orange embellishments covering the dress.

Gwyneth, 52, took inspiration from the iconic designer with a head-to-toe outfit in Gucci's iconic print as she posed ahead of the showcase.

Lila, 22, who just hours earlier had graced the front row at the Burberry show in London, opted for an edgy black leather mini skirt and matching snakeskin boots.

Finishing her outfit with a chic black jumper, Lila accessorised with a matching handbag as one of the first arrivals at the screening.

Demna, who is the former creative director at Balenciaga, has only been at the helm of Gucci for a few weeks, and his first collection was quietly launched just hours before The Tiger's premiere.

The film has been director by renowned filmmaker Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn, and stars Oscar nominee Demi.

Speaking about his new era as head of the brand, Demna called the debut collection 'unapologetically sexy, extravagant, and daring.'

'The collection named La Famiglia marks Gucci's return to storytelling, going back to the future by way of the past, defining the aesthetic based upon which Demna's Gucci vision will be built, leading up to his first show in February [for the Autumn/Winter 2026 season],' a press release announcing the collection said.

No doubt it's a stark contrast to the previous creative director Sabato de Sarno's more restrained style, which focused on refining the everyday wardrobe.

'It's a borghese [bourgeois] version of Demna, with very clear silhouettes', fashion consultant Dryce Lahssan told Vogue Business.
'Demna is a master of storytelling. Everyone can relate to a character of the Gucci family. With this first collection, he is taking ownership of Gucci's heritage; reinvention has not yet begun. Still, it marks an exciting moment for the house.'

Lila's appearance at this latest series of presentations comes after she fronted a new campaign for Barbie's first-ever 'diabetic doll'.

The doll features a continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump, which Lila - who lives with type 2 diabetes - has spoken about using in the past.

Barbie manufacturer Mattel says it made the first Barbie with type 1 diabetes (T1D) so more children could see themselves reflected in its range of dolls.

Lila previously discussed her condition during a segment on Vogue's In The Bag YouTube channel after making the unconventional decision to wear the monitor on the catwalk.

She said: 'I have some sugar tablets, in case my blood sugar goes low. I'm diabetic, so I have this, which controls a pod on my leg, which gives me insulin.

'This is very important to keep in my bag, it comes with me everywhere.'

The star - worried her essential device could get lost - added: 'I even have an Apple AirTag to follow it around with my phone.'

Speaking about her condition in 2020, she told The Kit: 'I think not many people know that I have diabetes. It's not visible from the outside, so no one would really know just by looking at you.'
