Denise Richards continued to share details about the alleged abuse she suffered from estranged husband Aaron Phypers.
Richards, 54, and Phypers, 53, returned to the courtroom in Los Angeles on Tuesday during a hearing regarding a temporary restraining order the star was granted against her ex in July, which she now wants to make permanent.
She claimed that Phypers, whom she wed in 2018, 'caused me at least three concussions' in a court filing obtained by People.
During one incident, which the actress claims happened at a Chicago hotel in April 2025, she alleges Phypers 'was squeezing my head so hard' that it 'felt like he was crushing my skull.'
She also claimed her tumultuous marriage to Charlie Sheen, 60, was better because 'he never hit below the belt.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Phypers and Richards.
Richards was granted a temporary restraining order on July 16, just 11 days after Phypers filed for divorce.
A source close to Phypers claimed that actress and her legal team are 'spewing fiction' and that he is 'planning on emerging victorious on this domestic violence protection order.'
The source added, 'Denise is again behaving like a coward and the truth will prevail.'
The source also pointed to a quote Sheen made about his ex-wife six years prior, stating that Richards 'and her legal posse traffic only in fiction.'
'If telling the truth is "below the belt" then so be it,' the insider stated.
The source went on to say that 'Aaron too, will be vindicated when the truth comes out, just as Charlie promised' adding: 'When you can't be credible enough to stop an affair like Denise's promise to Aaron not once, not twice, but three times, how can you be credible enough in a court of law on a bogus domestic violence complaint?'
Meanwhile Richards claimed she learned about her concussions because Phypers allegedly used equipment at his wellness center on her after she complained about having headaches, 'not feeling good' and being 'nauseous.'
'He scanned me, and it showed up that I had a concussion,' she claimed.
Richards detailed one instance when she reportedly got a black eye in January 17, 2022.
In another, she claimed Phypers 'slammed me up against the concrete wall and my head hit it' while they were in the carport at Phypers' wellness center sometime between March and May 2022.
The third instance allegedly happened at a Chicago hotel in April 2025, with Richards claiming Phypers 'picked my head up' and was 'squeezing’ it in a manner that felt ‘crushing.’
During her first day of testimony, Richards said that after bringing up her texts with another man, Phypers started ‘grabbing me, pushing me down’ during their stay at the Chicago hotel for ComicCon.
She alleged ‘his fingers were around my face’ and that she warned him he was going to ‘give me a bruise.’
She also claimed she said, ‘Please stop, you’re hurting me.’
And on Tuesday, she discussed the headaches she got from the incidents calling them ‘very painful.’
She said there was a ‘constant throbbing’ and she felt ‘off balance’ and ‘nauseous.’
Under cross-examination the actress admitted she never called authorities about the alleged incidents and that no other medical professional diagnosed her with concussions.
During the hearing, a video Richards recorded in August was shown by Phypers' attorneys, according to People.
In it, Richards compared their six-year marriage to her previous union with Sheen, to whom she was married from 2002 to 2005 and shares daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with.
'Things were bad with Charlie and I, but he never hit below the belt,' she said in the clip.
She also said, ‘I don’t know you. Charlie, I knew. Every other ex, I knew. You, I don’t know. That’s why this has been really f*g hard.’
‘I don’t even know who the fk you are,’ she went on, adding, ‘And I gave you everything.’
The references to Richards’ ex-husband surfaced after Phypers’ attorney named Sheen on a potential witness list for a future hearing.
Richards and Sheen’s split was highly contentious, with the actress filing for divorce in March 2005 while six months pregnant with their second child. Richards made serious allegations, including that Sheen was violent to her.
In the clip that played in court, Richards also claims she found evidence of Phypers cheating. ‘I saw the dk pics you took,’ she claimed while denying that she had cheated.
She added that it was ‘such a shock’ when Phypers filed for divorce. ‘I really thought you were my soulmate,’ she said.
She also alleged, ‘You’ve hit me too many f*g times and each time it’s getting worse and worse.’
Richards was reportedly visibly emotional when the video played, and was seen wiping her tears away.
The day prior, Richards’ estranged husband Phypers was accused of punching her in the face hard enough to give her a black eye in explosive testimony delivered by a family member.
Phypers’ cousin, Kathleen McAllister, supported Richards’ claims that her ex subjected her to domestic abuse in virtual testimony delivered Monday.
'I saw Aaron hit Denise and immediately she had a really bad black eye,' McAllister claimed via her virtual testimony about an incident on January 17, 2022. 'I'm literally in shock now to this day about it.'
Richards also claimed on the stand that Phypers 'would often threaten to throw me through the windows and off balconies.'
She alleged 'He's almost killed me so many damn times.'
She also revealed that their separation was triggered on July 4, when she asked Phypers to leave their shared residence.
'He got very angry at me and volatile, he got very close to me. I had just recovered from a full facelift and I still had stitches behind my ears, and I felt extremely vulnerable.'
Richards alleged their arguments frequently turned physical.
'He would grab my arms and he would yell, call me names,' including 'cheating we and a ct and a lying b*h.'
She detailed how it made her feel 'scared' and 'sad.'
Richards was married to Sheen from 2002 to 2005 and shares daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with him. She filed for divorce while six months pregnant with their second child;
'It made me feel intimidated by him. He's very big,' she added. 'I'm a lot smaller than him.'
In a previous court filing in July, Richards claimed that Phypers would 'frequently violently choke me, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me.'
She further alleged that he 'regularly threatened to "break my jaw" and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help -- none of which ever happened.'
Phypers has previously denied all the accusations against him.
And in a filing on September 15, he alleged that Richards 'attacked' and 'harassed' him 'many times.'
