A Las Vegas club promoter who was allegedly driving his Tesla while drunk has been arrested for hitting a family of three who were visiting from the United Kingdom.

Gavin Caci, 28, was booked in jail on two charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and resulting in substantial bodily harm, two counts of reckless driving, and four counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said Caci was traveling through an intersection around 7.30pm in a 2026 Tesla when he swerved onto a sidewalk.

As Caci allegedly swerved back into his lane, the front of his Tesla struck the back of a second vehicle stopped at a red light.

The collision caused Caci's Tesla to veer off the road, striking a British couple and their two-year-old daughter in a stroller. The child is fighting for her life in hospital.

Police said Caci didn't slow down after hitting the family and fled the scene to a nearby Topgolf parking lot.

A witness tailed his vehicle, and police later apprehended Caci. The LVMD said he showed signs of drunkenness when they arrived.

The woman driving the second car was identified as another Las Vegas resident, 35-year-old Yurdenia Velazco-Hernandez. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Caci appeared at the Las Vegas criminal courthouse on Monday. Video footage taken by local NBC affiliate, KSNV, showed Caci stone-faced as he heard the felony charges against him.

The Daily Mail has reached out to law enforcement for an update on the family's conditions and to Caci's representation for comment.

Public records indicate that this is the first time Caci was arrested for DUI charges. He was previously arrested in 2023 for speeding.

According to his social media accounts, Caci works as a club promoter for high-end nightclubs across Vegas.

Caci will remain in custody and is due back in court on Wednesday for a status check on the filing of his criminal complaint.
