EastEnders is set to undergo a huge scheduling shake-up on New Year's Day, with BBC bosses scrapping the early release of episodes on BBC iPlayer.
Over the past year, fans of the soap have grown accustomed to watching new episodes ahead of their broadcast time on the streaming service.
However, they will be disappointed to learn that this year's New Year's Day episode will not be available to stream at 6am on the platform.
Instead, fans will have to wait till the evening to watch the highly-anticipated New Year's Day instalment, which will finally see lovebirds Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin tie the knot.
The episode, which is likely to be one of the soap's most dramatic yet, will premiere at 10pm on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The Christmas Day instalment of the beloved soap was filled with drama as Cindy Beale (played by Michelle Collins) was attacked and left for dead in the Square Gardens after her affair with Junior Knight (played by Micah Balfour) was exposed.
The person who violently attacked Cindy was then seemingly revealed during Thursday's episode, but it's now been confirmed that fans will learn the true culprit as part of EastEnders' 40th Anniversary celebrations in February.
During the episode, Cindy could be seen lying on the ground seemingly dying after she was hit over the head with a shovel and was soon discovered by George and Kathy.
George, who had been at the boxing gym, confirmed she was still alive but was bleeding from her head.
Meanwhile, just seconds after the discovery, Elaine walked into her kitchen and saw Cindy and George’s daughter Anna desperately washing her hands and in a panic, Anna claimed her dog had been sick in her hands to try to cover her tracks.
Cindy was then rushed to the hospital for surgery, where her family joined her and started accusing each other of committing the brutal act.
George claimed he had an alibi for when Cindy was attacked and so Gina suggested that Ian was the one to blame but Elaine leapt to his defence.
In frustration, George left to find his son Junior, the only person absent from the hospital after Denise Fox told him she saw him ‘lurking in the shadows’.
He then found his son packing with a plane ticket ready to go to Dubai and appeared very suspicious.

The tense situation led the pair to have an argument with George so furious he headed back to the pub where he asked Kojo to back him up with his fake alibi to which Kojo agreed.
And after securing his friend's agreement George pulled out of his pocket a white shirt covered in blood, leaving fans to believe he was the one who attempted to kill Cindy.
But fans are not convinced and believe it was in fact Kojo who dealt the brutal blow to George’s ex-wife Cindy and left her for dead in the snow.
They took to social media to share their hypotheses, writing: 'I mean I don't want to say that its too soon to reveal the attacker as george but he wasn't wearing that shirt earlier in the night...'
Another said: 'It was kojo. George just gave kojo the alibi think he was saving himself.'

One person wrote on X: 'Maybe it was Kojo and so George is protecting him.'
Others posted: 'I don't think George attacked Cindy it's too obvious.'
'I'm still convinced that it's Kojo - Gina also looked like she was on something so maybe she attacked Cindy accidentally while under the influence of drugs'.
And one fan theory was that Kojo had been covering George with one viewer writing: 'It was kojo that did it &is covering for him!'.
Others said the episode had portrayed George badly and were glad Cindy was still alive: 'That ending has put me right off George, really bad he's trying to exploit a vulnerable man like Kojo BUT I'm pretty sure it was Kojo who attacked Cindy!Glad it's looking like she's survived anyway.'
