Elizabeth Hurley has joked she and Billy Ray Cyrus are in 'constant danger of choking on hair balls'.

The actress, 60, who embarked on a relationship with the Achy Breaky Heart singer earlier this year, has quipped that their coupling has come with health risks because they're both renowned for their long glossy locks.

Elizabeth told Attitude magazine: 'Billy and I have so much hair between us that we're in constant danger of choking on hair balls.'

The Austin Powers actress believes the singer, 67, is the 'more romantic' partner and she was delighted with the thoughtful gift he chose for her birthday.

She added: 'He's definitely more romantic than me; he spent the summer strumming his guitar under a tree, composing love songs as I strimmed and chainsawed around him.

'But he gave me a giant tepee for my birthday, and we snuggle up in that and it's extremely romantic.'

The Bedazzled star recently revealed that she had had a very 'lovely romantic' summer.

The model and actress joined This Morning hosts Ben Shepherd, 50, and Cat Deeley, 48 on the sofa earlier this month and told them: 'I stayed home with my new boyfriend and we ate well, relaxed, bird watched.

'We're both into birds of prey. We have a lot of long lenses and binoculars, and go to exhibitions with people showcasing off their birds of prey.'

After she sent the internet crazy by posting a snap of her holding Billy Ray's guitar in earlier in the summer, Elizabeth also issued an update on how her lessons with the country star were going.

She told This Morning fans: 'I'm terrible at the guitar but I'm trying; he's teaching me.

'He has written a song; I don't know if it's about me but it's for me. It's about finding happiness. He's always sitting under a tree with a guitar.'

Elizabeth previously opened up about her blossoming relationship with Billy, admitting the romance 'feels nice' because he is so 'supportive'.

She told The Mirror: 'Billy and I have had most of the summer off. 'We've seen both his daughters [Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus] play in London, which was great. He's very supportive, and that feels nice.'

After she posted a snap of her holding Billy Ray's guitar in a social media post earlier in the summer, Elizabeth also issued an update on how her lessons with the country star were going.

Elizabeth's son Damian, 23 (pictured), who she shares with with late businessman Steve Bing seems supportive of his mother's relationship, often posting hearts under her gushing posts.

'We've adopted two tortoises, and I have become something of a bird watcher. We've just seen some goshawks. They're unbelievable.

'Very, very rare. There are only 1,000 nesting pairs in the UK.'

Earlier this year, Elizabeth and Billy Ray appeared to be going strong as they stepped out together at the National Television Awards, five months after going public with their relationship.

And it seems they have garnered support from Billy Ray's daughter, pop star Miley, after going public with their relationship.

Billy Ray split from daughter Miley's mum, Tish Cyrus, 58, in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage.

Tish has since moved on with Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell, 55, and the pair tied the knot in August 2023.

Miley opened up: 'When you are younger, I think you just view your parents as mom and dad rather than individuals with feelings, with faults, with their own story.

She added: 'The most important thing for both my parents is that they are happy, and it's clear to see they both are.'
