Last month Ewan shared his Scottish BAFTA with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, paying tribute to his wife during the glitzy Glasgow ceremony.

The actor, 54, was awarded the outstanding contribution award from Bafta Scotland and arrived at the ceremony, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, with his wife of three years.

Ewan, who looked dapper in a kilt and sporran, enjoyed a passionate kiss with Mary Elizabeth, 40, before heading up to the podium where he paid tribute to the actress and his three-time co-star, jokingly calling for more films they could be in together.

The couple first met on the set of the FX series Fargo in 2016, when they both joined the cast for season three, playing each other's love interests.

At the time of the shoot, he was still married to Eve Mavrakis, and she was married to Riley Stearns. But eventually, both of their marriages ended and the co-stars began dating soon afterwards.

They worked with each other again on the superhero film film Birds Of Prey (2020), which is based on the DC Comics team the Birds of Prey.

The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Laurie in June 2021, after nearly four years of dating.

Meanwhile Mary claimed that life in rural Scotland with husband Ewan is 'heaven to me' after renovating an 18th century mansion in Perthshire, close to where the Obi-Wan Kenobi actor grew up in Crieff.

Land Registry documents show that Ewan bought the Perthshire country pile, complete with ten bedrooms and a billiards room, in May 2023 for £2.35million.

Now his wife Mary, who is currently filming the second series of Ahsoka, has opened up about life in Scotland with McGregor and their son Laurie, four.

'As much as I love working and as grateful as I am, I had a weekend last week which was very wholesome, very simple, and I was like, "If I could choose what heaven is going to be, this is heaven for me".
'Just being at our house and cooking... picking apples and being outside and being in nature... it's just perfect.'
