An influencer family have come under fierce fire for their 'entitled' demands while traveling.

The Hendrix Family, from Chicago, has gained over 33,000 followers by vlogging their travel adventures from around the world with three young kids.

But a recent clip posted to their Instagram account detailed how the parents were left fuming after their kids were refused entry onto a plane because they insisted on carrying their scooters on board.

In the video, the three kids could be seen riding the scooters up to the doorway of the plane, where an air hostess motioned to the parents to fold them up in order to put them in the overhead bins.

However, the parents, who boast 'unschooling' and 'family travel' in their Instagram bio, were seemingly unhappy with this.

'After 50 plus flights our kids were refused entry onto the plane, because we've been traveling with scooters!' they wrote in the caption.
'One hundred phone calls and countless side-eye looks later, we finally made it to our seats -- but not without leaving the scooters up front,' they wrote in the caption.

The family-of-five, who tout themselves the 'bucket list family travel,' described the small plastic scooters as 'more than just a way to get around.'

The Hendrix Family, from Chicago, have come under fierce fire for their 'entitled' demands and 'obnoxious' attitude while traveling.

'They're their best friends, entertainment, and games all rolled into one,' they wrote enthusiastically.

According to the Hendrix parents, their three children keep themselves entertained at airports 'zooming' around on their wheels, 'making the whole travel experience way smoother.'

The parents explained how they travel with the scooters - which are foldable - since they are 'typically' considered personal items to carry on.

'Some airlines check them in at the gate or just in front of the plane, while others have us fold them and store them under the seat,' they explained.

The parents added there is 'no consistent policy on foldable scooters.'

'So each time we fly, the airline staff has to figure out what to do with them,' they wrote, adding most check-in staff haven't come across the issue until they try and board.

'If you're thinking of traveling with scooters, we definitely recommend them. Just be ready for a bit of extra time at the airport as the team figures it out. In the end, it's always been a positive experience for us,' the parents passionately concluded the post.

While the Hendrix family were comfortable with their decisions to bring three scooters on board - in addition to carry on luggage - other viewers didn't agree, pointing out it's inconvenient for other passengers and staff.

'My husband is an airline pilot and his exact words 'no fking way,'' one user declared.

They continued: 'Who in the world lets their kids ride around on scooters at the airport... let alone on a place?! I have two kids under eight and we travel a bunch because we fly for free and I'd never in a million years dream of letting my kids do this?! There are plenty of things they can bring along for fun/distraction that aren't this obnoxious, I promise.'

'The entitlement of this family knows no bounds,' declared another.

Someone else joked: 'My queen size bed is my best friend, I should bring it with me next time when I fly, perhaps they sell foldable ones on Amazon???'

'To be clear, your kids weren't refused entry, the scooters were,' pointed out someone else.
