The fitness journey of Barstool Sports' Frank 'The Tank' Fleming took a massive step forward on Tuesday as he ran for the first time in 25 years.

Fleming's weight loss journey has been well-documented by his colleagues as he continues to progress daily.

On Tuesday, a video of Fleming running the streets of New York City was posted and gained traction on social media.

The caption from Barstool's X account noted how he weighed over 500lbs in 2016 and now weighs 330lbs in his first run in a quarter of a century.

Fans took to the comment section to praise Fleming for his discipline and dedication to improving his health.

'Frank!! Knees to chest, high stepping into the end zone, let's go!!!! Champion! Mets definitely winning the series now!' one user wrote, referencing Tank's Mets fandom.

'This is so inspiring great job Tank,' another added.
'Love to see the progress TANK,' a third chimed in.
'Major W for Frank. Should be an inspiration for many,' commented a fourth.
'Don't know how many of these random messages may reach the guy but please tell him we're rooting for him,' a fifth said. 'You got this!!!!!!'
'Congratulations champ [forward] is the way,' a sixth echoed.

In January, the host and blogger shared that he lost 150lbs and weighed under 350 for the first time in 20 years.

'I've been making some good progress, I think,' he said then.
'I got really sick, and the only good thing is I lost about 75-100 pounds during this six-week illness,' Fleming added.

Fleming went viral in 2017 after railing against a New Jersey Transit meltdown that caused him to miss the Mets home opener in Citi Field.

'It's the absolute worst,' he yelled in a local news segment. 'I'm not going to get to my game now because they are incompetent.'

He continued to make his distaste for the transit system known in an interview with the New York Post, saying 'If you contract it out to private companies that usually helps because they're forced to do better. I think they need a rival company. When it's run by the government, they can be as terrible as they want.'

Shortly after, Barstool chief Dave Portnoy identified Fleming as a potential character and gave him a part-time position. As his following continued to grow, Fleming became a full-time employee at Barstool in 2020.
