Investing.com - Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services, Technology and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.20%, while the MDAX index added 0.48%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn), which rose 4.60% or 9.60 points to trade at 218.10 at the close. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn) added 4.59% or 17.30 points to end at 394.40 and GEA Group AG (ETR:G1AG) was up 2.06% or 1.30 points to 64.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG), which fell 5.66% or 1.93 points to trade at 32.16 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) declined 4.13% or 2.15 points to end at 49.95 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) was down 3.97% or 1.23 points to 29.60.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 6.45% to 22.77, Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) which was up 6.16% to settle at 172.30 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which gained 5.18% to close at 26.82.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 4.03% to 20.26 in late trade, RTL Group SA (ETR:RRTL) which lost 2.96% to settle at 36.00 and Deutsche Wohnen AG (ETR:DWNG) which was down 2.23% to 21.90 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 6.45% to 22.77, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was up 6.18% to settle at 6.19 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which gained 5.18% to close at 26.82.
The worst performers were 11 AG (ETR:1U1) which was down 1.61% to 24.45 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which lost 0.68% to settle at 51.05 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 0.58% to 60.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 338 to 276 and 19 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 11.53% to 19.61.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.86% or 92.24 to $5,040.64 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $62.77 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.08 to trade at $67.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.19, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 96.78.
