Investing.com - Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.31%, while the MDAX index added 1.12%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn), which rose 3.89% or 11.60 points to trade at 310.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) added 2.48% or 35.00 points to end at 1,444.50 and Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) was up 2.24% or 3.00 points to 136.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G), which fell 1.29% or 0.96 points to trade at 73.24 at the close. BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN) declined 1.13% or 0.60 points to end at 52.40 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) was down 0.96% or 0.31 points to 31.95.
The top performers on the MDAX were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which rose 11.97% to 37.24, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 6.63% to settle at 75.60 and TKMS GmbH (ETR:TKMS) which gained 5.36% to close at 78.60.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 5.30% to 15.45 in late trade, AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:AG1G) which lost 2.22% to settle at 14.98 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 2.03% to 4.35 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which rose 6.63% to 75.60, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which was up 5.12% to settle at 29.16 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which gained 4.51% to close at 47.28.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 2.03% to 4.35 in late trade, Ottobock SE & Co KgaA (ETR:OBCK) which lost 1.15% to settle at 51.80 and Siltronic AG (ETR:WAFGn) which was down 1.04% to 52.20 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 381 to 248 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:AG1G) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.22% or 0.34 to 14.98. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to all time lows; falling 2.03% or 0.09 to 4.35. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to all time lows; down 2.03% or 0.09 to 4.35.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.80% to 33.77 a new 6-months high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.92% or 87.60 to $4,645.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.67% or 1.72 to hit $104.60 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.14 to trade at $107.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 99.99.
