Investing.com - Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Food & Beverages and Utilities sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Software and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.41%, while the MDAX index gained 0.02%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which rose 3.07% or 0.63 points to trade at 21.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) added 2.45% or 4.72 points to end at 197.12 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) was up 2.30% or 0.74 points to 32.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens AG Class N (ETR:SIEGn), which fell 6.41% or 16.10 points to trade at 234.95 at the close. Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn) declined 2.13% or 1.24 points to end at 56.98 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) was down 1.96% or 3.36 points to 168.36.
The top performers on the MDAX were TKMS GmbH (ETR:TKMS) which rose 5.95% to 98.80, Hochtief AG (ETR:HOTG) which was up 5.56% to settle at 391.00 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which gained 4.63% to close at 33.88.
The worst performers were flatexDEGIRO AG (ETR:FTKn) which was down 6.87% to 32.82 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which lost 5.61% to settle at 4.95 and Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which was down 4.23% to 20.38 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which rose 4.63% to 33.88, United Internet AG NA (ETR:UTDI) which was up 2.55% to settle at 26.52 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) which gained 2.30% to close at 32.97.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 5.61% to 4.95 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 4.18% to settle at 64.20 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which was down 3.65% to 25.84 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 314 to 291 and 43 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hochtief AG (ETR:HOTG) rose to all time highs; rising 5.56% or 20.60 to 391.00. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to all time lows; falling 5.61% or 0.29 to 4.95. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) fell to all time lows; losing 5.61% or 0.29 to 4.95. Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.18% or 2.80 to 64.20.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.31% to 19.16.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.65% or 32.91 to $5,013.39 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.07% or 0.67 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.68 to trade at $68.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.19, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 96.98.
