Hamish Blake was very much in doting dad mode this week, staying up all night to bake an elaborate birthday cake for his son.
The funnyman, 44, shares two children - Sonny, 12, and Rudy, eight - with wife Zoe, and frequently takes it upon himself to create eye-catching cake creations for his offspring.
And Hamish was back in the kitchen again on Friday, this time whipping up a manga-themed cake for Sonny's 12th birthday.
This year, Sonny asked for a cake based on the popular pirate-themed series One Piece, and Hamish was more than up to the task.
'Evening, cake fans. Let's cake,' he said enthusiastically at the beginning of his baking journey.
'I've got a lot of stuff going on in my mind because there's a lot to this. Essentially, we're doing this pirate ship - it's from a manga called One Piece - it's called the Thousand Sunny, this ship.'
While appearing confident, given his experience with children's birthday cakes, Hamish admitted that he was worried about the construction of chocolate sails.
'The sails have been demanded to be chocolate - edible sails with that famous skull print on it - that's alright, that's after midnight,' he said.
Hamish then shared a slew of photos and clips that documented his cake construction, and the Lego Masters star certainly didn't do things by halves.
Starting off with a schematic diagram, and with a glass of scotch in hand, Hamish set about cutting pieces of Styrofoam to form the shape of the boat, before an egg had even been cracked.
With the night rolling on, he finally got to work baking and began assembling the chocolate sponge around the boat base.
While he expressed concern about the integrity of his chocolate sails, Hamish pulled off the difficult element with aplomb.
It was certainly not a rushed job, with Hamish finally placing the sails on the cake at 6am on Saturday morning.
'She's heavy, she's a little wonky, but she’s ours,' Hamish said as he held one of the sails aloft.

He finally wrapped up his baking session at 6.23am and shared a photo that showed him beaming triumphantly alongside the ship.
'Happy birthday Sonny boy,' he captioned the photo. 'I'd pull a hundred all-nighters for you, mate.'
With a scotch still in hand, Hamish appeared relieved to have completed the elaborate cake, despite a slight 'miscalculation.'
'Guys, you feel it, feel it. I haven’t had a drink for an hour or two, but it’s deserved,' he said as he drained his glass.
'I just want to warn you everything’s okay, but there was a hasty chopping of the final sail and a slight miscalculation.
'If you’re a sailor or very, very picky nautical person, I assume it will anger you. For everyone else it’s gonna look great.'
Hamish then revealed the finished product - a picture-perfect rendition of the Thousand Sunny in cake form.

The cake was also given the seal of approval from wife Zoe, who also took to Instagram to boast about Hamish’s baking skills.
Sharing a photo of the finished product, Zoe wrote: 'Ten years of waking to find an overnight masterpiece.
'Bravo @hamishblakeshotz to you and this and your 6.30am finish.'
