AUBURN -- Haiden Harper will represent the Warriors one last time on the hardwood, as he was named to the 2026 Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game.

Harper led the Warriors on another historic run in their second year in the Alabama High School Athletic Association, with a 25-5 record and a perfect 6-0 regular season area record. Samford Gymnasium was the host of the AHSAA 3A Area 6 Championship for the second straight season, which Lee-Scott won for the second straight year. The Warriors defeated state powerhouses Auburn (73-67) and Montgomery Academy (44-41) during the regular season. The Warriors reached the 3A Regional Semi-Finals for the second straight season.

Harper lead a balanced attack on the hardwood, scoring 15.8 points per game (first on the team, seventh in 3A, 99th in the state), 4.2 rebounds per game (second on the team, 21st in 3A), three assists per game (first on the team, sixth in 3A, 86th in the state), 1.9 steals per game (first on the team, seventh in 3A, 176th in the state), with a 49% field goal percentage (second on the team, eighth in 3A, 141st in the state) and a 33% three-point percentage (third on team, 13th in 3A, 80th in the state). He also ranked 37th overall in the state in Field Goals Made with 168 (second overall in 3A) and 84th overall in three-pointers made with 39 (seventh overall in 3A).

Harper finished his career with the Warriors as the Lee-Scott Academy Boys Basketball all-time scoring leader with 2,151 points. For his five-year varsity career, Harper averaged 15.3 points, three and one-half rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 blocks per game. Harper was named to the 2024-25 Alabama Sports Writers Association's 3A All-State Second Team, as well as the Opelika-Auburn News Boys Basketball Small Schools Player of the Year. In 2024, Harper was named the ASWA AISA Player of the Year and was also named to the OA News All-Area First Team. Harper signed with Troy University this past winter to continue his basketball career with the Trojans.

"This is an honor to be recognized with some of the best from the state," Harper said. "It is great to see the hard work get you to these moments. I am very appreciative to my family, my coaches, my teammates and the entire Lee-Scott family for supporting myself and our team."

Lee-Scott Academy leadership praised Harper's selection and the legacy he leaves behind.

"We are incredibly proud of Haiden Harper for being selected to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball Game," William Johnson, deputy director of athletics and head boys basketball coach at Lee-Scott Academy, said. "This honor is a reflection of his hard work, leadership and dedication to our program over the past four years. Haiden is Lee-Scott's all-time leading scorer, and this recognition is well deserved. We can't wait to see him represent our school, program and community on such a big stage."

At Lee-Scott, Harper's impact has been historic.

As he prepares for the next chapter, Troy University's basketball coach said he believes the honor is fitting.

"Haiden has had an outstanding high school career and has helped Lee-Scott win a ton of basketball games over the last few years," said Scott Cross, head basketball coach at Troy University. "Haiden definitely deserves this very prestigious honor to be selected to the 2026 Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game. I look forward to watching him lead the Alabama All-Stars to victory."

Harper joins the team of elite Alabama high school players and will take on the Mississippi All-Stars on Saturday, March 14, at A.E. Wood Coliseum on the Mississippi College campus in Clinton, Mississippi. The boys team will tip-off at 2 p.m.
