Coachella season is upon us, and music lovers and A-listers alike are heading to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, to have a wild weekend listening to headlining artists like Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter.
But going into the desert isn't necessarily an easy feat, as it can be a long weekend full of twists, turns and unexpected moments.
In years past, people have complained of heatstroke and serious coughs from the dust - plus some more trivial things, like packing the wrong pillow for the Safari Tents or forgetting to bring a rain poncho.
So what do you really need for Coachella? What if we told you that there were a few products that could make your time in the desert significantly easier and more comfortable?
From my go-to brand of portable charger to the perfect electrolytes that always make me feel my best, here are the products that everyone needs for a trip out to Coachella.
The first thing on the list would absolutely have to be a portable fan since it gets insanely hot in the valley, with last year's temperatures reaching over 100 degrees.
Amazon sells a great one for just $16.99, a hand-held turbo fan that has five different airflow gears and comes in a myriad of different colors, including pink and green, to match your outfit.
The fan can also be worn around your neck so you don't have to worry about holding it all day.
You can charge the fan with a portable charger too, which is another item you'll want to make sure you have on you during the day.
Velvet Caviar makes super cute portable chargers that have double the battery life of an iPhone and are only $60.
I love the cherry-printed one, which matches my phone case.
Similarly, to keep your face cool and protected from the sun, Amazon also sells a trendy sunhat that looks like it's straight off the Miu Miu runway.
The large hat, which is only $13.99, will keep you looking stylish with its multicolored seashells that are attached to the brim.
To pair with your hat, you should also consider bringing a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes during the day.
I just bought these tortoiseshell acetate frames by Elisa Johnson from Shopbop - and they also happen to be 20 percent off right now.
Sunscreen is also an important item to bring along. Getting a sunburn is painful and it is the last thing that any festival-goer needs ruining their weekend.
A good pair of sunglasses and sunscreen with a high SPF are also two important items that can help protect yourself from the sun.
One great option is the Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50 Invisible Sun Protection from Supergoop!, which you can snag for $19 for a 0.68oz.
As someone who has worn Supergoop! exclusively over the past few years, I really think it's one of the best sunscreens on the market right now, and it works extremely well.
And while you can beat the heat with hats and fans, something else that's extremely important is making sure that you're staying hydrated.
Last year, Dr Suzanne Jagger, the founder of Aura Aesthetics in Portland, Oregon, recommended in an interview with the Daily Mail that Coachella-goers keep electrolyte packets on them at all times.
'Electrolyte packets or sports drinks are lifesavers out there,' Dr Jagger, who has been a medical professional for over 20 years, told the Daily Mail at the time.
'They help replace the salt and minerals you lose while sweating. Also bring sunscreen, a refillable water bottle and maybe even a portable fan or cooling towel,' she suggested.
A great option for an electrolyte packet is one by the brand Magna, which also contains other essential nutrients, like magnesium, to help keep you feeling good at the festival.
They just came out with a new flavor, too - Cool Blue, which tastes like crisp blue raspberry and retails for $39.
Plus, if you purchase their starter kit, it also comes with a plastic, reusable water bottle, something that you can also bring with you to the festival as they allow plastic bottles up to 64oz.
But if you're going to the festival at night, there's something else that you need to be prepared for: dirt and dust storms that can come when the wind picks up after daylight hours.
On the Coachella Reddit forum, tons of people are talking about it, with many warning that you need to be prepared for what's to ensue.
'You don't think it's bad until you get home. Trust me, bring a bandanna and cover your face, especially at night,' one person wrote.
Another agreed: 'As a person with respiratory disease I can confirm that there is a significant amount of dust. Especially in the evening after the wind kicks up. I understand that weekend two can be even worse.'
In order to combat the dust, it's recommended from previous festival goers that you bring a bandanna with you to cover your face and mouth at night.
Luckily, Amazon sells a pack of three for just $6 - or you can up your fashion game with a silky, Hermes-inspired printed scarf, also from Amazon, for $6.29.
You’re going to want to keep your lips hydrated too, especially because you don’t want to get your mouth caked with dirt and dust.
I love the color Angel Cake - a sheer pink sparkle that leaves your lips feeling insanely soft. The gloss contains five different kinds of ceramides which are extremely hydrating and completely calmed my chapped lips this winter.
As a beauty writer who has tried just about every lip balm in the book, my favorite right now is the ÂN-GLOSS Ceramide Lip Tint by Anfisa Skin which is sold online for $45.

Finally, perhaps the most important part of your Coachella weekend is making sure that you're wearing comfortable footwear, especially because there's so much walking involved.
Some of the most comfortable shoes I've tried out to date are from Salomon. Last year, when I visited Sydney, Australia, they carried me during hours of walking through the city.
They come in super cool colorways too, like the new XT-6 GORE-TEX Sneakers which come in orange, perfect for spring.
They're 20 percent off $200 right now on Shopbop too.
