SUMTER, S.C. - Messiah Jackson tossed three touchdown passes and the South Florence football team rolled to a 49-0 road victory against Lakewood on Thursday.
The Bruins improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in Region 5-4A. They will travel to rival Wilson next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
JayAun Perkins, Bruce Thompson and Malik Robinson all caught TD passes for South, who led 28-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Gerkeim Hall had a pick-6 for the SFHS defense, which posted its fifth game this season of allowing one score or less.

HOPKINS - Helped by a pair of turnovers, the Diamond Hornets scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to rally past the Tigers.
Wilson, who led 13-7 near the start of the second half, falls to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in Region 5-4A. The Tigers will host South Florence next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Taumaury Echols had a 1-yard touchdown for Wilson and MyQuan McWhite started the second half with a bang - an 88-yard kickoff return.
But after LRHS tied the score early in the fourth, the Diamond Hornets were able to convert a pair of interceptions into scores for the victory.
