It all came down to the wire for Bianca Dye on the series premiere of The Golden Bachelor on Monday.
After struggling to pluck up the courage to speak to star Barry 'Bear' Myrden, the 51-year-old was shocked when she received the final nod during the first Rose Ceremony.
Speaking to Daily Mail, the radio veteran said that while she was disappointed in herself for not seeking Bear out for some one-on-one time, she did enough in their introduction.
'I still didn't get that one-on-one time, but I think we had enough cute chemistry when we met on the red carpet, that I was just hopeful,' she said.
Bianca added that the couple shared an intimate moment on the red carpet that did not make it to air.
'Obviously you don't get to see everything that happened on the red carpet, but he and I actually sang a song together,' Bianca revealed.

She added that the cute moment was left on the cutting room floor due to copyright concerns.
'So, I told him I was into karaoke and that I was a radio announcer and he goes: "What's your favourite song?"' Bianca said.
'I said Old Time Rock And Roll was my favourite karaoke song, and he said: "How does it go?" and I just started singing.
'And I said: "My dad is an old rocker and we used to sing it in the car," and Bear just started singing with me.'
Bianca expressed disappointment that viewers missed the spontaneous and candid moment.
'It was actually f*ing hilarious TV,' she said. 'I was thinking to myself: "Oh, this is gold - we're singing, surely this is love. And then I remember the [producers] saying we can't sing on TV.
'But I felt like we had enough of a banter and cheeky connection on the red carpet that might be enough to get me through.'
Bianca certainly appeared confident upon meeting Bear, declaring him to be a 'spunk bubble.'

'You are a dirty big spunk,' she told her potential paramour. 'Thank God you’re hot,' before adding to the camera: 'Look out, ladies, it’s game on, molls.'
Bianca's initial bravado waned when it came time for the cocktail party.
She admitted that she felt like she was back in high school, being overlooked by the popular boy - and also admitted she was struggling with hot flashes.
'It’s triggering everything in me,' she tearfully admitted to the camera.
'It feels like every rejection I’ve ever had is coming to the surface. This is it, this is your big chance - are you, again in life, not going to grab this opportunity because you’re scared?'
'He’s not going to get a connection with you. He’s just going to say, "She’s the loud, silly one."'
Bianca added that it was a combination of her own ego and insecurities that kept her from stepping up to Bear.
She added that producers had to intervene to remind her what was at stake.

'The producers were saying to me: "Babe, If you don't make a move, and you don't actually go up to him and he doesn't connect with you... then you're not going to get a rose,"' she said.
Another reason for Bianca's initial reluctance to step up to Bear was that he was 'very much' her type.
'He's definitely a swipe right kind of guy on the apps,' she said.
'He really is a silver fox - they chose well. Tall, handsome, mysterious - which I find sexy. He holds back a bit in a way that's not aloof but in a way that's sexy.'
Bianca added: 'Who doesn't love a man that's possibly a little bit hard to get? He's a dirty big spunk.'
