At just 27, Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has carved out an incredible career for herself as a singer, model, and actress.

Determined not to be overshadowed by her famous family, the genetically-blessed 'nepo baby' has gone above and beyond to carve out her own place in the spotlight.

Her aunt La Toya, 69, spoke to DailyMail.com about her 'beautiful' niece this week and shared how both she and Michael influenced the young star.

'She is such a beautiful young lady and she's doing absolutely fabulous everywhere,' La Toya gushed.
'She's been doing a lot of acting. You'll see her movies coming out. She's doing a lot of things, so I'm so proud of her,' she continued.

When asked what advice she and late brother Michael gave Paris on her journey to superstardom, La Toya said, 'Just be true to yourself and she knows to be true to herself.'

She continued, 'Look, her dad was the biggest guy in the world, so she learned a lot from him when she was much younger and that's still been instilled in her head.'

'Just really do what you really love in life and be true to yourself. And once she knew that, look how she's navigated herself.'

La Toya is currently gearing up for two shows at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.

The entertainer, 69, will be at the club for two nights on Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, sharing stories about her life and career.

'It's going to be very intimate,' she told DailyMail.com.
'It'll be me sharing stories about my life and growing up in the royal family of music and things like that, and when people ask me questions, they'll get answers.'

Meanwhile, Paris is currently gearing up to star in the action-thriller One Spoon of Chocolate alongside Shameik Moore.

She'll also be seen in the comedy Skinemax with Crispin Glover and Rory Culkin.

Outside of film, Paris has made her mark in television with roles in American Horror Stories, Swarm, and Doctor Odyssey.

The 27-year-old released her debut album Wilted in 2020 and followed up with a new single called Bandaid in 2023.

Deebie Rowe, an American nurse, married Michael in a secret ceremony in Sydney, Australia, in 1996 and was surrogate mother to the singer's two oldest children Prince and Paris. They divorced three years later in 1999.

Prince and Paris also have a younger brother Bigi who was formerly known as 'Blanket' but he was not mothered by Debbie.

Michael died aged 50 following a drug-induced cardiac arrest in June 2009 at his home in Los Angeles and his personal physician at the time, Dr Conrad Murray, was jailed for involuntary manslaughter.

After the Smooth Criminal singer passed away, Paris and Prince were raised by grandmother Katherine Jackson.

Paris, who is currently engaged to Justin Long, posted a video to Instagram on January 7 revealing that she was five years into her sobriety journey from heroin and alcohol.

'Hi, I'm PK and I'm an alcoholic and a heroin addict,' she wrote.
'Today marks five years clean and sober from all drugs and alcohol. To say that I'm thankful would be a poor euphemism. Gratitude hardly scratches the surface,' she continued.
'It's because I'm sober that I get to smile today. I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all its glory. I get to grieve. I get to laugh. I get to dance. I get to trust.
'I feel the sun on my skin and it's warm. I've found that life keeps happening regardless of whether I'm sober or not, but today I get to show up for it.
'Here's a little snapshot of what has been possible because of my sobriety, and my god I can't believe I almost missed it all,' she finished off the heartbreaking caption.
