I'm A Celebrity star Ruby Wax claimed the BBC axed her show when she reached the age of 50.
The comedian and actress, 72, is currently keeping viewers entertained with her antics in the ITV jungle.
Ruby achieved iconic status as a comic interviewer, where she interrogated A-list stars on her popular shows for many years - and has been putting herself to work in camp getting to know her fellow campmates.
Viewers have seen her form friendships with AngryGinge and Lisa Riley, as well as cheekily keep a bag of sweets won by camp to herself.
And it's given her a chance to open up on her career, including taking a swipe at fellow BBC star Louis Theroux, who she accused of 'stealing her career'.
It comes after Ruby accused the BBC of not allowing women aged 50 or older to host chat shows - after they ended her popular programmes.
I'm A Celebrity star Ruby Wax previously claimed the BBC axed her popular chat show because she reached age 50.
Ruby built a legendary career interviewing the biggest names of the time - including future President Donald Trump.
Back in 2023, Ruby addressed the reasons behind her popular programmes coming to an end.
During an appearance on Kate Garraway's Life Stories in 2023, Ruby was asked by the host: 'So why did the television shows dry up?'
In response to this, the comedian said: 'Because I turned 50 and that's not allowed.'
Kate then asked: 'So it was an age thing?'
Ruby replied: 'Of course, and then there was a man who took my job; it's not Louis Theroux who is a really nice man.
'And whoever I will not mention names said "we want you to do a game show" but I said I could be a really good interviewer and they said "uh uh" so I left town.'
Ruby touched upon the same subject during Wednesday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity.
Emmerdale legend Lisa told the group: 'It's a crazy life and we all know that.
'There's days where we want to be left alone. But at the end of the day, people are only asking for the autographs and the selfies because they actually love what we do. So, I'm grateful for that.'
Upon hearing this, Jack Osbourne then said: 'There's a problem when they stop asking.'
In Wednesday night's episode, Ruby similarly touched on her experiences with fame and her show being axed.
The revealing discussion came about after Emmerdale star Lisa RIley shared her perspective on being famouss.
Ruby replied: 'Yeah, well, with me they did stop asking', with a stunned Jack saying: 'But you're Ruby Wax!'
Continuing, Ruby said: 'That doesn't matter. You know, it's finished. That's the past.
'I liked the fact that famous people liked me; it was like getting the A-list. That was exciting, to be accepted by them and them having a really good day was my idea of fame.
'I was living off of them. That was exciting; the thrill of being recognised by somebody well-known. It meant everything; like the prom queen looking at you.
'But then suddenly it was axed and Louis took over.'
During her time in the jungle so far, Ruby tackled an eating challenge alongside Ginge in the first Bushtucker Trial of the series.
She also caused a stir among viewers who branded her "selfish" after keeping a bag of Liquorice allsorts won by camp to herself.
Ruby snuck away to the Bush Telegraph, where she enjoyed the sweets - which were among multiple bags included the prize - alone.
I'm A Celebrity continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
