Inside the Radford Family's Festive Preparations

Families across the world are preparing for Christmas, and Britain's 'biggest family' is no exception. Sue and Noel Radford, parents of 22 children from Morecambe, Lancashire, host their large brood over the festive season.

The Radfords, stars of Channel 5's "22 Kids and Counting," are participating in 'vlogmas,' sharing daily clips on YouTube throughout December. Sue previously mentioned that their family consumes a substantial amount at breakfast daily: 18 pints of milk, three litres of juice, and three boxes of cereal.

"Christmas time is magical for us as we have 22 children and now grandchildren to entertain," said Sue Radford.

Multiple Christmas Trees in Their £1m House

Sue and Noel transform their home into a winter wonderland by decorating multiple trees. Each child can decorate small trees in their rooms while the main tree is adorned with lights and baubles. Last year, due to a cracked rib from coughing, Sue started decorating later than planned but this year she was back with full enthusiasm.

"Quick, we're under pressure," she remarked as they prepared decorations.

Wrapping Gifts Months in Advance

Sue begins wrapping gifts in September to ensure everything is ready for Christmas. The family goes through about 50 to 70 rolls of wrapping paper each year. Despite detailed wish lists from her children, not every request can be fulfilled due to cost constraints.

The Christmas Dinner

Noel handles cooking for more than 22 people during Christmas dinner while Sue manages preparation. This includes buying around 10kg of potatoes, 4kg of carrots, and other essentials like Yorkshire puddings and pigs in blankets. They prefer trifle or cake over traditional pudding due to taste preferences among family members.

"Every one of our children enjoys Brussels sprouts," shared Sue regarding their food choices.

Piles of Presents

Sue allocates between £100-£200 per child for main presents each year. With approximately 300 presents purchased annually including 'main gifts' and smaller items per child; however some requests are too costly like a Barbie doll house priced at £700 online despite its RRP being £240.

"We save over the year putting money away specifically for this purpose," explained Sue about budgeting strategies used by them throughout years past including saving stamps towards food shopping expenses incurred during holiday season celebrations held within household premises itself!

A Luxurious Holiday?

In previous years they've enjoyed holidays such as Center Parcs outings where cozy cabins awaited them amidst outdoorsy activities galore! Whether overnight stays occurred remains unclear though day trips surely brought joy aplenty amongst young ones alike given how much fun could be had exploring new surroundings together hand-in-hand alongside loved ones closeby always willing lend helping hand whenever needed most importantly so everyone felt included equally without exception whatsoever regardless age difference existing between siblings themselves naturally forming bonds lasting lifetime long beyond mere days spent traveling abroad experiencing different cultures firsthand firsthandedly enriching lives immeasurably along way Radfords enjoy taking multiple holidays annually with Florida being one favorite destination visited numerous times recently including seven trips alone since August last two years plus exotic locales
