Jade Jagger has opened up about the 'weight' of living in the 'shadow' of her Rolling Stones rocker father, Sir Mick's legacy.

The jewellery designer, 54, has said that growing up with Mick as her parent has been a 'challenge' due to the expectations that come with her surname.

She told Hello! magazine that being a Jagger has been 'quite a weight to bear' and comes with expectations and comparisons.

The businesswoman told the publication: 'Carrying the Jagger surname has, at times, been a real challenge.
'Sometimes it can feel like quite a weight to bear, because it comes with so many expectations and constant comparisons.'

Jade went on to say her upbringing was a 'complicated experience' as she worked hard to carve her own path in life under the limelight of the music legend.

Jade Jagger, 54, has opened up about the 'weight of living in the shadow' of her Rolling Stones rocker father, Sir Mick's legacy in a new interview.

The jewellery designer has said that growing up with Mick as her parent has been a 'challenge' because of the weight her surname carries.

Jade is a mother of Assisi, 33, and Amba, 29, who she shares with ex Piers Jackson and son Ray, 11, who she welcomed with her husband Adrian Fillary.

Jade said: 'Growing up with a dad who has achieved so much meant living in his shadow.'

Elsewhere in the interview, she explained that her childhood was anything but conventional as she spent much of her time travelling while her father toured the globe.

She said that while she sometimes describes herself 'as a bit of a gypsy', she didn't know any different and so thought her upbringing was normal.

In hindsight, Jade said that being exposed to so many different cultures at such a young age has shaped who she is today.

Jade's eldest daughter's partner, Alexander Key, went missing last month.

Officers and HM Coastguard were called around 6.30pm on January, 31, after the body of a man was discovered in the sea at Bude.

Formal identification is yet to be carried out, but officers believe the person to be Alexander, 37, who was reported missing on 24 January.

His death has not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Alexander, who is a chef and shares two daughters with Assisi, was last seen on Friday, 24 January at the Cobweb Inn pub in Boscastle, Cornwall, where he was spotted sitting alone.
