She was previously married to filmmaker Kyle Newman, with whom she shares two sons, Leo and James.
Jaime King is speaking out for the first time since it was revealed that her second husband, Austin Sosa filed for divorce.
The Hart of Dixie alum, 46, revealed in a statement obtained by PEOPLE that she was "completely blindsided" when Sosa, a banker, filed for divorce on Thursday, Jan. 22, as she believed they were "working on" their relationship.
"I was completely blindsided by the divorce filing, which came out of nowhere," said King. "I was with Austin the night before it became public, and while like many marriages we had normal challenges, I genuinely believed we were working on our relationship."
"Any recent interactions being referenced publicly were strictly professional business meetings and have no connection to this private matter," she continued, referring to recent media reports about King out with another man.
"My focus right now is my work and, above all, my children," King added.

"This is deeply personal and should remain private, and I hope people will stop making assumptions -- particularly ones that unfairly and disproportionately scrutinize women for simply doing their jobs," King concluded.
Sosa filed for divorce from King on Thursday, Jan. 22, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. TMZ was first to report the news.
PEOPLE reached out to Sosa for comment but did not immediately hear back.
It is unclear when the pair tied the knot, but the actress referenced their engagement during an episode of Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald released in September. King revealed that she and Sosa "met through mutual friends."
PEOPLE had confirmed the couple's engagement back in July 2025. King's rep shared that she was "grateful" for the support from fans.
The actress is "especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family," her rep said at the time. "As always, her sons remain her top priority, and she kindly asks for privacy as they move forward together with love and gratitude."
A source told PEOPLE the same month regarding her and Sosa that she "is very close with his family and was staying with his parents after she moved out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year."
King was previously married to Kyle Newman. She filed for divorce from the filmmaker in May 2020 and their divorce was finalized in September 2023.
She and Newman, 47, share sons Leo, 10, and James, 12.
Newman was granted sole physical custody of their sons in March 2025. A judge ordered that while Newman and King would share legal custody of their sons, the actor was granted tie-breaking authority over legal custody and would have sole physical custody of their kids, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
