Jennifer Lawrence threw her arms in the air in exasperation after a taxi snubbed her when she tried to hail a taxi in New York on Friday.

The Oscar-winning actress, 35, looked frustrated after a cab driver failed to stop at the side of the road to pick her up from the snow-covered pavement.

Despite her misfortune, Jennifer still looked effortlessly chic in a cream-coloured coat, which she styled with a blue checked scarf.

Underneath the jacket, Jennifer was wearing a chic white jumper and kept warm with a faux-fur hat and a pair of black gloves.

Adding a pop of colour to her winter ensemble, she toted around her belongings in a colourful shoulder bag and opted for comfort in chestnut Uggs.

The star shares her son Cy, three, as well as a younger son - whose name and birthdate haven't been publicly revealed - with husband Cooke Maroney, 41.

While she hasn't confirmed the name of her second-born child, she was spotted wearing a beaded keychain with the names Cy and Louie in September 2025.

Last year, Jennifer said her experience with postpartum anxiety after the birth of her second child helped her tackle her role in the movie, Die My Love, which came out in November 2025.

She plays Grace - a single mom who struggles with motherhood - in the comedy-drama, and for the role, she drew on her own life.

Speaking with People, she said: 'I didn't really end up having really bad postpartum [anxiety] until my second [baby]. I think that just added another layer.
'I mean, I don't think that you have to have kids to play a parent by any means, but having that information about what a tiny person needs, and is looking for... just having that information was helpful.'

The star revealed on The Graham Norton Show in October that she had to dance naked with co-star Robert Pattinson, 39, after being asked to do interpretive dance by director Lynne Ramsay.

'Lynne Ramsay, the director, challenged us during rehearsals... Robert and I had to do interpretative dance lessons together. We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn't really know each other, so it was totally humiliating.
'Then on the first day of filming, she asked whether we remembered what we did and asked if we would do it naked!'

Despite her misfortune, Jennifer still looked effortlessly chic in a cream-coloured coat, which she styled with a blue checked scarf.

The star shares son Cy, four in February, as well as a younger son - whose name and birthdate haven't been publicly revealed - with husband Cooke Maroney, 41.

The actress also recently claimed that she identifies as a 'stay-at-home mom'.

She admitted she is only truly busy during the hectic press tours for her movies, and for the rest of her time, she relishes a quiet life.

Speaking on the Smartless podcast earlier this year, she said: 'That's me. I identify as a stay-at-home mom. But I am obviously working.

'I'm not used to being busy like this. I normally have a busy like three months while I'm filming, but even in that sense, it’s calm because there is nothing else to do.

'I just go to work, I do that, I come home, I sleep, and then I do it again. And then, like, two weeks while you promote - it is hectic.'
