Inside the event Lopez was pictured mingling with Kerry Washington, 49, who rocked an avant-garde copper mini-dress with delicate silver embellishments.
The actress was joined by her mother Valerie on the red carpet.
Lopez presented Washington with the Courage Award at the event.
Elsewhere the two were also pictured mingling with gala chair Jamie Alexander Tisch.
Lopez also cozied up to Norvina and Anastasia Soare.
