Kaitlin Olson is back as Morgan Gillory in High Potential -- and she's still solving crimes her own way.

The season 2 trailer, debuting exclusively on PEOPLE, sees Morgan returning to work and balancing her duties as a single mother to her three kids: Ava (Amirah J), Elliot (Matthew Lamb) and baby Chloe.

"While I'm at work I wanna make sure you guys are getting the support you need at home," she tells Ava and Elliot. As she tries to hand Chloe a waffle as she rushes out the door to no avail, she says, "I see you've inherited my judgmental stare."

Morgan reenters the Los Angeles Police Department offices and is greeted by Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), Daphne Forrester (Javicia Leslie) and Lev "Oz" Özdil (Deniz Akdeniz) and chastises them for not answering her calls. "I've been texting like a maniac," she tells them.

But Morgan has more to worry about than being ghosted, as the Game Maker (David Giuntoli) is still out there as a threat.

"This guy went after one of our own," Karadec says, with Morgan lamenting that she"really thought we would have found him by now."
"Don't worry, he'll see the inside of a prison cell soon," Karadec promises her.

Morgan isn't playing around, though, as the Game Maker -- introduced as a random stranger she and her kids met at the grocery store in the season 1 final episode -- is haunting her.

"That man is a danger to my children," she says. "I'm never gonna be able to forget his face."

In a voiceover, which appears to be the Game Maker speaking directly to Morgan, he teases her by saying, "I think you like this game as much as I do."

But she's not having it, later telling him, "You've proven that you can get to me and my children, and I will protect them."

There are other mysteries for Morgan to solved -- like Ava's previously missing father, Roman, and a new boss at the LAPD.

Still reeling from Karadec revealing that Ava's dad Roman is still alive, we see Morgan comforting Ava.

"My dad's been alive this whole time and I let myself believe he didn't abandon us," Ava says, with Morgan telling her, "I still believe that."

We then get a montage of Morgan's signature flair and fashion choices, and the trailer ends with her meeting a mysterious man in the LAPD offices.

"So what are you doing in a police station, trying to find a place where that mustache makes sense?" she tells the guy.

The man, played by Steve Howey, then introduces himself as her police captain, Nick Wagner, which gets an epic reaction from her.

High Potential returns for season 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC, streaming the next day on Hulu.
