Given they were part of one of music's biggest girlbands, it's no surprise that Kelly Rowland is one of few who can get away with poking fun at Beyonce.

In fact, the singer has left her followers in hysterics as she roasted her pal's pronounciation of one particular word in a new social media clip.

The Destiny's Child star shared her playful reaction to Beyonce's use of the word 'algebra' in her song 1+1, during an interview with Scott Evans for his House Guest series.

Asking her to finish the lyric, Scott began singing: 'Okay I don't know much about algebra,' before Kelly cut in laughing and said: 'It's algeba, she didn't pronounce it R, I love it. She'll save that R for another day.'

Laughing, Scott then added: 'She said ''sing it right. Sing it like they wrote it.'' before delivering his own rendition of the line.

In the lyric in question, Beyonce sang: 'I don't know much about algebra, but I know one plus one equals two.'

Fans shared their amusement at the clip in the comments, writing: 'Also consider Kelly prolly the only one that can get away with this kinda shade cus it's love lol;'

'Me realising now that she said ''algebaa; I mean... she did say she didn't know much about it;'

'They've been family for so long she sounds like B... I love them; You definitely know this is an inside joke for them.'

Back in July, Beyonce reunited with Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly and Michelle Williams at the final night of her Cowboy Carter tour in Nevada.

But the popular girl group - which quit in 2005 - hadn't performed live together since Knowles-Carter's headlining gig at California's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2018.

Rowland's passionate, hot-tempered nature regularly keeps her from attending her 10-year-old son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon's basketball games.

'I had to pull back from some of the games. I'm the spirited mom,' the four-time Grammy winner admitted on The Jennifer Hudson Show in January.
'My husband [Tim Weatherspoon]'s like, "You know, you should stay home this game. This team...I don't know what's going [to happen]." And I'm like, "Word?" It's really great though because it's teaching [Titan] sportsmanship.'

Fans shared their amusement at the clip in the comments, as they said Kelly's hilarious remark showed how close she and Beyonce are.

Kelly and her 51-year-old ex-manager have also welcomed four-year-old son Noah Jon Weatherspoon, during her 11-year marriage.

Last year, Rowland went viral when she stood up to a pushy female usher hurrying her off the red carpet during the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Marcello Mio.

'Don't talk to me like that. Don't talk to me like that!' the Atlanta-born beauty told the security guard according to TikTok lip reader @tismejackieg.
'No, don't talk to me like that. You are not my mother, and you don't talk to me like that. I'm not a child, don't talk to me like that.'

The unidentified staffer was also pictured scolding and putting her hands on Dominican actress Massiel Taveras and K-pop sensation Yoona on the red carpet.

It came two months after Kelly walked off the set of TODAY after being 'offended' that Savannah Guthrie kept asking her about Beyoncé rather than her own project during the 8am interview.

Rowland was scheduled to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour as guest host of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, but left Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center after she and her team were 'unhappy and felt disrespected' - according to TheWrap.

The Building The Band judge will next serve opening act duties for Brandy and Monica's 27-date The Boy Is Mine Tour, which kicks off at Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH on October 16.

Kelly will then coach series 14 of The Voice UK alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, which has been pushed back to air later this year.

Last April, Rowland and Cliff 'Method Man' Smith co-starred in Linda Mendoza's upcoming rom-com Relationship Goals for Amazon MGM Studios, which is based on Michael Todd's 2020 bestselling novel.

The My Fault producer-star - who boasts 43.6M social media followers - is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like Lancôme, Jurassic World: The Experience, Airbnb, Infatuation Los Angeles, Pull-Ups, and Shiseido.

Kelly - whose three-octave lyric mezzo-soprano pipes were last featured on Ayra Starr's 2022 Bloody Samaritan (Remix) - hasn't released a full-blown record since her fourth studio album Talk a Good Game in 2013.
