Kim Kardashian came under fire this week after admitting she doesn't know what a carton of milk costs during an appearance on Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast.
"I mean, I don't have a concept of what certain simple things cost," Kardashian, 44, said during the Wednesday, Oct. 15 episode of Cooper's show. "You know, I'd like to know a little bit more about what a milk carton costs."
But despite not knowing how much "simple things" like groceries might cost, the billionaire Skims founder had a rough idea about how much her hair and makeup might be worth.
"It could be a million dollars," she stated. "This hair isn't cheap."
However, Kardashian went on to confess that she isn't always the one paying to get all glammed up.
"If I'm filming my show, then they pay for it. If I'm working, then they pay for it," the "Kardashians" reality star explained. "I try to get it all paid for so that I don't personally have to pay for it."
Critics, meanwhile, rushed to social media to slam Kardashian over her "out of touch" remarks.
"Do you know how rich you gotta be to even be able to say a sentence like this?" one person wrote on X.
"Kim admitting she doesn't know the price of a milk carton is peak billionaire energy," tweeted another.
"I can't believe she doesn't know the price of a carton of milk!" commented a third. "So out of touch!"
Other fans, however, defended the former "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star.
"People are hating on this like it's not everyone's goal to be able to buy what you need, when you need it, and not have to think about what it costs," one person argued on X.
"Must be nice to live this way," added another.
The Post has reached out to Kardashian's reps for comment.
Elsewhere during Cooper's podcast, Kardashian opened up about her ex-husband, Kanye West, and how his mental health struggles played a significant role in their divorce.
The former couple married in May 2014 and welcomed four kids - North West, 12, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 6 - before separating in February 2021. Their split was finalized in November 2022.
"There were just a lot of things that I wouldn't deal with," she explained to Cooper. "I didn't like the feeling of someone talking badly about my kids' grandmother, aunts, all of those feelings. If someone feels that way, then we shouldn't be together."
Kardashian went on to share one incident where West, who was diagnosed as bipolar in 2016, bought and then gave away several Lamborghinis.
"I'd come home and they'd all be gone," she recalled. "Then I'd come home again, and at a different point, we'd have five more Lamborghinis, and then I'd wake up in another episode and they'd all be gone again."
"I didn't know what you're going to get when you wake up, and that's a really unsettling feeling," Kardashian concluded.
