Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called President Donald Trump loyalist Laura Loomer as a "side piece," amid a yearslong feud between two conservative figures.
Greene on Wednesday mocked Loomer for, allegedly, not being given White House press credentials, following a post from the latter saying "expect to see Marjorie Traitor Greene do nothing but attack President Trump all throughout 2026."
Newsweek has contacted Greene and Loomer, via email outside of normal officer hours, for comment.
This is the latest development in a longstanding feud between Greene, a former Republican representative from Georgia, and Loomer, who have clashed over multiple topics.
Loomer has cultivated access and growing influence around Trump and senior administration figures, drawing criticism from some Republicans who say her rhetoric and interventions risk distracting from policy priorities.
The feud has intersected with speculation that a growing divide has emerged within the MAGA movement, including over policy differences or disputes over strategy, namely the handling by the administration of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Greene was once of Trump's most loyal supporters, but she publicly broke with the MAGA leader over his handling of the Epstein scandal. She announced her resignation from Congress as a result. She served her last day in office on January 5.
She recently posted on X: "[Trump] calling me [a traitor] has become a badge of honor because I'm not in his cult, I refused to bow to his demands to cover up the Epstein files to protect his friends, and I stopped fighting the hardest for a team that intentionally refuses to win."
Loomer was responding to this when she wrote on X on Tuesday: "As I said before, expect to see Marjorie Traitor Greene do nothing but attack President Trump all throughout 2026. She wants the GOP to lose the midterms."
Greene then replied: "Has Laura Loomer received her hard pass WH press credentials yet?
"Late night phone calls are for side pieces. Laura deserves to be treated so much better. She loves Trump the most! It's not fair! There are Muslim foreign press with WH hard passes, but they keep Laura out!"
Splits within the MAGA movement have emerged over specific issues, such as the handling of the Epstein files or the potential U.S. involvement in foreign countries, namely Iran.
Polling by NBC News in December 2025 found that the proportion of self-identified Republicans who identify with MAGA had dropped by 7 percentage points since April 2025.
Marjorie Taylor Greene said in a post on X: "I have to admit I was wrong when I warned Trump and his senior staff to stay away from Laura Loomer.
"Her divisiveness, loyalty tests temper tantrums, Israel First agenda, and her manufactured b* she calls loomered have all been great for the party and the President!
"Laura is a two time Congressional candidate loser who has been seriously underestimated. PLEASE make her Chair of the RNC! Wait that is not enough. Make her White House Chief of Staff!!
"How dare President Trump not reward his most loyal worshipper! Literally the self appointed High Priestess of MAGA or MIGA or whatever this thing has mutated into.
"I can't believe they haven't even given Laura the most simple and basic of all things, White House press credentials. This is an outrage!!"
Loomer shared some of Greene's posts about her on Wednesday, with a clown emoji in the caption, adding: "I broke MTG. She is short circuiting."
Trump said on The Ingraham Angle in November 2025: "Don't forget: MAGA was my idea. MAGA was nobody else's idea. I know what MAGA wants better than anyone else, and MAGA wants to see our country thrive."
