Jessica Hart was all smiles this week when she was spotted out and about in her hometown of Melbourne.

The 39-year-old model was born in Sydney but raised in Melbourne before jetting off overseas at age 15 to pursue a successful modelling career.

She looked chuffed to be back on home soil after recently revealing plans to move back Down Under following her reported split from her NASCAR driver fiancé, James Kirkham.

Jessica cut a chic-yet-casual figure for her Melbourne visit, stepping out in a plain black T-shirt that she wore under a black leather jacket.

She also wore a pair of 'Daisy Duke' cut-off jean shorts with a frayed hem that showed off her enviably lithe legs.

Jessica completed her look with a pair of black suede ballet flats and wore her flaxen locks down for the occasion.

She accessorised with a teal-coloured leather shoulder bag, a pair of black, square-framed Saint Laurent sunglasses, and a pair of silver hoop earrings.

Jessica looked to be enjoying some alone time with her two children that she shares with James - Baby-Rae, 5, and Glorious, 3 - nowhere to be seen.

It comes after the Australian model's high-octane romance with her American race car driver fiancé reportedly drew to a close.

Following an almighty row inside their $368,000 Mercedes-AMG G-Class in early 2025, Daily Mail Australia obtained photos showing the fallout.

The couple were seen having a heated argument while driving back to their Hollywood Hills home.

Jessica eventually pulled over and turned on the hazard lights. James then wildly gesticulated in the air, before burying his head in his hands, seemingly in despair.

According to an onlooker, their vehicle was briefly blocking traffic until James exited the car.

Jessica then drove off without him, prompting him to run after the car.

A day earlier, the Aussie Victoria's Secret stunner was seen without her engagement ring, looking visibly distraught as she took a phone call.

The pair have since unfollowed or blocked each other on Instagram, and had not been pictured together since the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, in October 2024 - until exclusive photos of their confrontation emerged.

Jessica almost married Greek shipping scion Stavros Niarchos III before bonding with tattooed single-father James over their shared love of fast cars in 2019, accepting his proposal at her baby shower for their first child.

Weeks later their daughter Baby-Rae Kirkham was born, and seven months after that Jessica revealed she was pregnant with son Glorious, born in February 2022.

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar Australia in June last year, Jess revealed that she was moving back Down Under after decades spent living abroad.

Having lived in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles, Jess told the publication that she wanted to return to her roots to raise her children.

'I want my children to be half-Australian and half-American - not just Americans with Australian passports,' she said.
'I want them to be immersed in Australian culture and grow up the way we did.'

Jess added that she planned to redevelop a property in the Victorian Central Highlands city of Ballarat that she bought from relatives.

'It would make my mum so happy,' she said. '[The region is] where her family had homes. I'm going back to my roots, my heritage.'

Jess' mother Rae died in January 2023 after a battle with the neurodegenerative disorder Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
