BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty couldn't resist taking a cheeky dig at a Saturday Kitchen star during a live link-up after a surprise shake-up saw him replaced.
The presenter, 50, and her co-host Charlie Stayt, 63, were wrapping up their morning headlines when they handed over to Saturday Kitchen.
But regular host Matt Tebbutt, 51, was notably missing, with The One Show's Alex Jones stepping into his shoes for the latest episode.
Naga introduced the crossover, saying: 'We're with you until 10 o'clock this morning and then Saturday Kitchen takes over and at the helm is Alex Jones.'
With her trademark dry wit, she then added: 'Hello, what an improvement. Don't tell Matt I said that.'
A visibly shocked Alex laughed and replied: 'Naga, she went straight in! Good to see you, how are you both?'
As the presenter handed over to Saturday Kitchen, she made a quick jibe on Charlie Stayt being replaced by stand in Alex Jones who would be 'an improvement'
Naga grinned and said: 'Very, very well. I'm just not used to seeing someone wearing something other than dark blue denim. It looks wonderful. What have you got, Alex?'
The Welsh presenter laughed as she teased what was coming up, promising viewers 'a wonderful selection of people' on the show, including chefs Bryn Williams, Andi Oliver, and Ravneet Gill, plus special guest Ben Elton.
During the show, Ben picked sweet potatoes as his 'food hell,' joking that he didn't like when they 'pretended to be real potatoes,' while his dream 'food heaven' was a classic battered fish and chips.
Earlier this week Naga was replaced on BBC Breakfast as her usual co-host Charlie Stayt was joined by another familiar face in another cast shake-up.
The morning programme returned to screens for another instalment as the hosts shared the latest headlines and stories with viewers.
BBC Breakfast is usually presented by Jon Kay, 55, and Sally Nugent, 54, Monday to Wednesday, followed by Naga, and Charlie, Thursday to Saturday.
Sunday's episode is presented by a number of stand-in hosts such as Roger Johnson, Tina Daheley, Ben Boulous, Ben Thompson and Rachel Burden.
But Naga was missing from the line-up on the show on Thursday morning, with Charlie instead joined by one of the other BBC Breakfast stars.

It's not the first time in recent weeks that Naga has been missing from the line-up, with Naga going missing from screens last month on leave

Viewers were surprised to see Charlie joined by Sarah Campbell, a BBC News presenter and royal correspondent for the broadcaster.
Charlie didn't appear to acknowledge or mention why Naga had been replaced.

Over the last few months, Charlie and Naga have hit a number of headlines.
Back in June it was revealed that journalist Naga, who joined the morning programme in 2014, was facing 'bullying claims'.
It was also claimed she had allegedly scolded a petrified intern for the way they spread Marmite on her toast.
And in August it was also reported Charlie Stayt's alleged behaviour is also 'under review' after a string of complaints. Charlie has been part of the team since 2006.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Naga had been allegedly planning to quit BBC Breakfast, despite receiving a hefty £10,000 pay rise, after she was accused of bullying and hauled into a meeting over an alleged sex jibe.
The BBC Breakfast presenter and 5 Live host, 50, had been spoken to by executives after she reportedly made a sex jibe during an ad break while hosting the radio show.
She is believed to have used a crude slang term for a sex act and asked a colleague 'if they had ever done it'.
Naga's own conduct was thrown into doubt when BBC Breakfast's editor Richard Frediani reportedly took an extended period of leave after an internal review of bullying and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.
Amid the fallout, Naga's agents have reportedly 'held talks with rival station LBC' to explore opportunities for the highly-respected journalist.
Breakfast airs daily on BBC One from 6am and is available to stream on iPlayer.
