Nathan Lowe to be handled with care after debut Wycombe goal...

Michael Duff urged caution with Nathan Lowe after the on-loan Stoke forward marked his Wycombe debut with a goal against Stevenage.

A superb strike from Cauley Woodrow, Lowe's immediate impact and a late screamer from Junior Quitirna saw the Chairboys win 3-1 for a third straight home success.

Lowe came off the bench for Woodrow in the second half and took just four minutes to open his account, before setting up Quitirna's strike.

Duff said: "It's a great start for Lowey. We thought we had him at the start of January but he ended up getting a stress fracture in his last game at Stockport, so we could have had him for the last six weeks.
"We need to be careful with him, he's only 20 and that's his first 30 minutes in seven weeks. It's not Harry Kane walking through the door, so we need to be careful with the pressure we put on him."

Wanderers came into the match off the back of a 3-2 defeat at Reading and a frustrating 1-1 draw with Exeter, where they conceded in the final minute of stoppage time.

Duff said: "I thought it was a good performance and in the first half, I thought we were dominant. Not many teams have to make a sub in the first half like Stevenage did because we were on top.
"Our main criticism at half-time was that we weren't clinical enough despite being in their third, and we didn't have enough shots.
"They responded well, as we were too deep and I felt we lost momentum, but that's why we made the subs - our bench had quality.
"It was a battle, but we did the detail. We defended well and the goal we conceded was unlucky.
"I thought we were a little bit deep a little bit too early; it's human nature; but overall I thought we were good."

The key moment came in the 62nd minute when Duff, with his side having been pegged back by Jamie Reid's equaliser, made a triple change, replacing Liam Harris, Ewan Henderson and Woodrow with Quitirna, Aaron Morley and Lowe.

Six minutes later, Jack Grimmer's long ball sent Lowe through and he shrugged off Dan Sweeney before finishing past Filip Marschall.

Lowe then turned provider in stoppage time, setting up Quitirna for a brilliant 20-yard strike.

Stevenage boss Alex Revell admitted he "got the shape wrong" and took responsibility for the set-up.

He said: "You make mistakes, you get punished.
"Simple errors, we conceded three poor goals and you can't win games if you make mistakes. I'll take responsibility for the shape being wrong. We didn't get any pressure on the ball, we didn't have spells of possession.
"When we changed shape, we looked better. We looked like we would score and we did.
"We were the team pushing at 2-1, and we needed to score in that moment. The momentum turned. It was disappointing."
