Culinary Class Wars star Culinary Monster has apologized for his 'harsh' words and his behavior on the Netflix competition show.
The chef, real name Lee Ha-sung, came runner-up in the second season of the South Korean series, losing to Choi Kang-rok, a White Spoon chef and returning contestant.
In an interview posted on the Netflix Korea YouTube page, Culinary Monster said that he came across 'harshly' due to feeling 'desperate and eager' during the filming process.
He expressed regret over his behavior and offered his apologies to his fellow competitors and others involved in the production.
Culinary Monster said: 'I kept thinking, "Should I have worked harder? Did I not put in enough effort?"
'The pressure of thinking that if I didn't achieve good results in this filming, everything I had done so far might go to waste made my actions and words come across a bit more harshly.
'For that, I sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable.'
Taking accountability for his actions, Culinary Monster said he feels sorry for 'causing trouble for the production team who worked hard on the program.'

'But this is a game of survival. There are no fathers or sons here.'
'I really do respect and admire Chef Hou, but there's only one match for me in the final,' Culinary Monster retorted.
'So sorry Chef Hou, but I'll be giving it my all to win.'
