Small regional towns in South Australia have been dragged into the Epstein files after a local woman wrongly accused dozens of politicians, bikies, cops and ordinary individuals of running a sex ring with the late paedophile.
The baseless claims are contained in a tranche of documents released by the US Department of Justice after the woman, whose name has been redacted, contacted US law enforcement about three years ago.
In one email to US authorities dated June 2022, she claimed to have been a victim of Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell from the age of 14 while she was living in Port Pirie, about 220km north of Adelaide.
She then accused a series of people in Port Pirie and another nearby town of grooming underage girls, fraud, money laundering, blackmail, corruption, and conspiring to kill her.
The documents comprise heavily-annotated photocopies of emails, photographs, medical forms, text messages, and letters to politicians, with handwritten notes linking various people and details.
Her allegations were never substantiated and US authorities never responded to her emails.
Additional documents that do not form part of the woman's email further claim a victim's dog was raped, and referenced 'targeted victims' in Port Pirie, along with other SA towns including Willimulka and Whyalla.
The Daily Mail does not suggest the individuals named in the documents are involved in any wrongdoing, or that they had anything to do with Epstein or Maxwell.
In her email to US authorities in 2022, the woman said: 'I have been a targeted victim in Australia since the age of 14.'
The woman also included copies of text messages, claiming it was evidence of corruption in Kadina.
In her email to US authorities in 2022, the woman said: 'I have been a targeted victim in Australia since the age of 14.'
'[I] am currently self isolating for my own protection from sexual targeting and conspired attempts on my life through medical industries and individuals involved, including police sources.'
'I have been denied investigations and assistance for nine years.'
She further claimed that she had evidence of crimes committed against her, including 'destruction of my career over a 30 year period, fraudulent activity, money laundering, sexual targeting involving grooming, [and] police targeting.'
Attached documentation showed she had contacted a number of politicians and media outlets from 2020, asking them to meet with her and launch an investigation into her alleged abusers.
No politicians met with her, according to the documents.
She also included copies of text messages, claiming it was evidence of corruption in Kadina.
Further documents that specifically mention the same small SA towns also allege Centrelink, utilities companies, Telcos, credit unions, banks, real estate agencies, and councils are associated with 'organised targeted crime'.
The documents were released after the Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed by the US Congress and signed into law by US President Donald Trump.
Since then, about 3.5 million pages of documents relating to Epstein have been released, shedding further light on his network of contacts in business, politics and the media.
More than 2000 videos and 180,000 images have also been released.
For decades, Epstein maintained friendly relationships with high-ranking officials and was reportedly involved in intelligence and influence activities.
Epstein was jailed for soliciting sex with minors and committed suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on more serious charges of sex trafficking of minors.
Maxwell is serving serving a 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty in 2021 on charges including sex trafficking of a minor.
