It was confirmed last week that Peaky Blinders will return with a bang to the BBC and Netflix, with TWO new series following the Shelby family.
Already, fans have been busy speculating what could be to come in the two series that promise to follow a new generation of Shelby's, as teased by show creator Stephen Knight.
But with no casting confirmed for the new projects, many are already up in arms about one potential missing face that would render the series 'worthless'.
In the new series, the action will pick up in 1953 as Birmingham is rebuilding itself from the heavy bombing that happened during World War II.
It was revealed that beloved show-star Cillian Murphy will be making a return, at least behind the cameras, as he's named among the Executive Producers.
Though, there has yet to be any confirmation as to whether Cillian, 49, would be reprising his role as leading show star Tommy.
Given no casting has been confirmed for the new projects, many fans are already up in arms worrying that leading man Cillian Murphy could be missing from the action.
Taking to social media, fans hit out that aside from being behind-the-scenes, Cillian’s involvement in front of the cameras would be what renders it ‘worth’ watching.
Discussing the upcoming seasons on Reddit, one wrote: 'If it doesn't have Cillian then it's worthless', as a second agreed: 'If I don't see Cillian in this...'
'No doubt I'll watch it, but it was Tommy (and Cillian's portrayal) that ultimately kept me hooked, so we'll see,' another added.
'Don't know what you're happy about, they basically confirmed that Tommy Shelby either retires or dies in the movie,' a fourth theorised.
While a fifth said: 'No doubt it will feel different if I am not seeing Thomas Shelby.'
The synopsis for the upcoming series, which is also being backed by streaming giants Netflix, reads: 'Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel.'
'In a new era of Steven Knight's Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham's massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions.'
'This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.'
Peaky Blinders has previously run for six series, and a movie has been in the works

The two series will be filmed at Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham, and will be set in the city.
Peaky Blinders creator and writer Steven Knight celebrated the show's return, saying: 'I'm thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story.'
'Once again it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz.'
'The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride.'
The BBC's Lindsay Salt added: 'This game-changing show made a huge impact when it first came to our screens 12 years ago and it is one of the BBC's most-loved dramas.
'Steven has worked his magic once again and I can't wait for his scripts to be brought to life when filming begins in Birmingham.
'We are delighted to be working with Kudos, Garrison Drama and Netflix on this epic show. There's plenty of drama for Peaky fans to look forward to!'
The Peaky Blinders film, which has been in the works for some time, is expected to air in 2026 - with leading star Cillian spotted filming last year as part of the cast.
Writer Steven said he was 'thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story' as the news was confirmed last week
The lead actor was seen jumping onto a horse to reprise the role of Tommy Shelby for the upcoming film.
Netflix announced in June 2024 that the feature film had been greenlit and would go into production later this year.
In June it was confirmed that the Peaky Blinders' original writing and directing team will be returning alongside Cillian for the Netflix film adaptation of the hit British series.
Netflix confirmed the news on X with a photograph of the script, while the Oscar winning actor told Deadline: 'It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me...
'It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.'
Peaky Blinders launched in 2013 and garnered huge audiences both in Britain and overseas, attracting roles for silver-screen stars such as Tom Hardy and Anya Taylor-Joy.
The programme is loosely based on a real Birmingham gang of the same name operating from the 1880s to the 1920s who did the same illegal activities their fictional counterparts did.
Series one to six of Peaky Blinders are available to stream in full on BBC iPlayer.
