Earlier this week, Ruby Rose accused Katy Perry of sexual assault.

Police are investigating Ruby Rose's allegation that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her in a Melbourne nightclub in 2010.

"Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010," police told HuffPost in a statement Wednesday. "Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne's CBD. As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."

On Monday, Rose, known for her role in "Orange Is the New Black," responded to a Threads post about Perry's reaction to Justin Bieber's Coachella performance, writing that Perry sexually assaulted her at a nightclub in Melbourne, adding, "Who gives a shit what she thinks."

Someone on Threads asked her to elaborate, to which Rose responded, "After it I threw up on her. I told the story publicly but changed it to be a 'funny little drunk story' because I didn't know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn't a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone."

Rose alleged that Perry pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed "her disgusting vagina" on Rose's face.

In a statement to HuffPost, a representative for Perry called the allegations "categorically false" and "dangerous reckless lies."

"Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named," the statement said.

Rose wrote that it has taken her nearly 20 years to come forward with the allegation, adding that the time "shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes."

Rose went on to say that she has photographic proof and the incident was "witnessed by multiple people."

"Plus there is so much more that happened in the years leading up to her silly song she won't want me discussing," Rose wrote. "The psychological manipulation was strong with that one."

In 2017, Rose dissed Perry’s song “Swish Swish,” which was rumored to be about Rose’s friend and Perry’s then-enemy Taylor Swift. Rose slammed the song’s lyrics and Perry’s political activism on social media before taking a breather and then following up that “being mean doesn’t suit me.”

“Get so triggered when I think bullies don’t get held accountable and it makes me think I should say something,” Rose tweeted at the time.“.. but it’s not [my] place.”
